There's plenty of other institutions that provide quality education and are essentially self-selective (i.e the admission decision depends on YOU). Their faculty actually care about your personal development rather than the potential benefits you would bring to the institution's reputation, and their reputable scholars are there to teach you rather than prioritizing towards their personal project and outsourcing their teaching duties to postgrads.
