Any of these dramas worth watching this season? Haven't paid attention to the Fall season lineup yet.

I went back and watched the 7.5 Hanzawa episode because I skipped it while it was airing, and it made me think about how much this season was missing a more lighthearted Naoki. He was all business, all the time, probably because they had so much shit to cram in, but it left the character feeling a bit more strained. Watching Sakai smiling and joking during the live broadcast made me wish there was a bit more of that in the actual show.

It's alright, the tv series was fun and interesting enough to keep me the whole way through.
The tv special though, was pretty bad and repetitive since the whole premise is a take on a famous philosophical question. I get what they were going for but it just wasn't that interesting especially since you knew what the outcome was going to be anyway.
I still haven't watched the movies yet. The show's advertising might make it seem gritty but it's actually more of an episodic family show with a detective solving everybody's problems.

Just finished watching the 愛のむきだし (Love Exposure) DeepCut TV version.

It was good and pretty much entertaining all the way through but thematically it didn't click for me all that much in the end. I also really would have liked for it to be a bit longer and to show us some happy moments between Yoko and Yu to give some much needed cathartic relief after 5+ hours of them just "missing" each other.
I might have messed up by starting Sono with Forest of Love since that's a 5/5 perfect movie for me, this is more like a 3.5/5. But I'm still excited to check out his other movies, the energy and craziness of it all is really quite special.

It's a drama from 2 years ago, I think we did talk about it when it was airing at the time. I don't remember clearly but It was great until the 2nd episode or the 3rd? Something happened that made it less enjoyable for me but enjoyable nonetheless. Hirose's acting was shit though, other than that, everything was good. Maybe the last episode was kinda letdown though, don't remember why exactly but I believe that's how I felt 2 years ago.
