I had never bought kig related stuff on aliexpress but had been using for more than 5 years, and yes its quite safe some sellers let you pay with paypal otherwise you get to use alipay (no need to make an new account or anything) that would hold the money until you confirm the reception of the goods.

There’s a lot to talk about. 3d printing side, there is 3d modeling (if you’re not using a ready made model). Sanding there is different sanding techniques. Paint there is color theory (paint mixing). If you’re doing things traditionally there is sculpting, mold making, casting along with the above. Using dust control systems to keep sanding dust down, etc. Also as a maker, there is plenty to talk about 3d modelling, different programs and modelling techniques. Workspace setup, keeping everything orderly to keep workspace efficient. If you personally don’t find that interesting, that’s fine. Though as many have stated, the English language resources and maker community for making kig specifically is lacking. When on sites like this, people poo-poo the thought of connecting with others, it keeps many isolated. Not everyone wants to use “guides”. If you work well on your own, and don’t get excited about the minor parts of the project that have become habit, that’s cool.
