Hey now, you just highlighted my post from a few years ago.
You can't sit around and not teach the new guys in town about the town if they have to dig through mountains of stuff, much of which sometimes needs to be case sensitive or else they won't find jack shit.
Either you have to dig through archives, which sometimes isn't possible with something like 4archive, or you have to wait for a thread and someone who was around at that time to explain it. By the time you do find something, either it gets no replies or you have to necrobump for a while.

Sorry if I'm ruining the thread. It has this really peaceful character that I don't want to disturb. I just want to ask those familiar with /s4s/ what they liked about the board.

I tried it just now and I believe I tried it before in the past and its value and purpose seems incomprehensible. It's like, that RPing you often see on /jp/. Like, "I want to touch Reimu's armpit!" or something but the people on /s4s/ are just constantly being silly and pointless to the point of pointlessness. The only way I can understand it is if the board is some kind of meta-joke about boards, much like the "to get to the other side" answer for the road-crossing chicken joke but the joke has clearly worn out its welcome so I don't get it.

The board is a metajoke about 4chan's obsession with reddit via an ironic parody of a reddit board which in turn is itself a meta board about reddit. Like if this pic is SSJ1 and SUCC is SSJ2, [s4s] is to go even further beyond.

I've been seeing zoomers use Yakui more often, which gets me unreasonably pissed.

The problem is, that you probably aren't seeing all the posts. If you are just viewing [s4s] through the /s4s/ board, you don't see the green posts, the posts with letters in their ids, or anything numberless. Together, those make up about 40-70 percent of [s4s], depending on the day. So conversation will appear disjointed and spastic, because you won't be getting the full picture.
