I hated having to decide. They all sound good.

I ultimately picked Muv Luv though because of the /m/an in me.

I'm already regretting my choice and I don't know why.

Vote Cross Channel, bitches.

Generally considered to be the best Black Cyc title, you play the role of a young girl named Yumemi, when a scary mushitsukai (mushi user- 'mushi' in this case basically being TENTACLE MONSTERS) falls onto her parent's car, killing them. He kidnaps her and uses her to breed more mushi;
She gives birth to a particularly special one, manages to escape (quite AWESOMELY) and -- that's basically when the story starts, longest prologue ever.
Fuckawesome story, great characters, almost every H scene is over the top rape (whether you like that sort of thing or not, it's very well done) and it's also probably one of the most difficult VNs to clear, basically _REQUIRING_ a walkthrough (Black Cyc actually put a guide up for it up on their website, which is pretty unprecedented).

Who the fucked voted for muv-luv? Cross channel actually seems to have an interesting story. Of course, i voted for Devil on the g string

Extravaganza's a hair's breadth higher on EGS at the moment, but to be honest, I think MinDead Blood is a little bit overrated.

Fantastic game, fantastic story, but I felt both Gun Katana and Gore Screaming Show had better paced, more consistent stories. Gore Screaming Show had other problems, though, including a couple of rather weak routes, so I'd probably end up ranking them:
Extravaganza > Gun Katana > MinDead Blood > Gore Screaming Show

That said, I've heard that the MinDead Blood expansion thing improves the overall experience quite a bit, and I haven't played it, so I could be full of shit.

GSS is far worse than Extravaganza, sure, but GSS is also far better known on the English side, partly due to its name, partly due to the somewhat infamous gore filtering level and partly due to the fact that it's simply talked about more.

No, it's not. Extravaganza certainly has a lot more H content (and a lot more violent H) but it is at least as focused on the story as Gore Screaming Show is. Extravaganza's story is actually quite a bit more in-depth - it's on the same lines as MinDead Blood's in that regard. Both games are also a lot longer than Gore Screaming Show too.

Not the one who suggested against it, but for one thing, there's no point to having Muv-Luv if we don't have Muv-Luv Alternative as well. And those two games combined are long as FUCK, and I'd consider it entirely possible that the translator would at some point either quit, or at least slow down considerably.

There's also technical issues in the way of translating Muv-Luv, because rUGP is a shit.
