25,852 not counting text in choices etc.

Note that this number features some (actually, quite a lot) of duplication because of the maps. Basically, a number of events happen on the maps, such as being caught by a patroller, searching each and every room as well as other stock messages which are repeated for every building across every day.

If I count everything BUT the map files, which will result in a lower number of lines than the translator would have had to translate, I get 16,151.
By script, it is the third shortest Tactics/Key game - Planetarian is the shortest, Dousei is the second shortest.

>> No.2509042

>>2509016
Whoops, forgot Tomoyo After. 4th shortest. By script size it goes:
LB!EX > Clannad > LB! > AIR > Kanon > ONE > MOON > Dousei > Tomoyo After > Planetarian

>> No.2509204

Can anon get a link to the translation site for future awesome?

>> No.2509218

I'll dig up my Sharin translation kit stuff and see if that will sweeten the deal at all.

I'd suggest Adieu to him (since it's nice and short, like MOON. is, as well as extremely good), except I don't know how to translate that. Haeleth's shit is pretty much useless for it (unsupported opcodes in kpac, and Haeleth's anti-translation stance makes dealing with him difficult at best), plus it uses nonstandard image font stuff which might make getting any English in there a pain.

>I remember playing the "main" route of that and it was boring as hell.
You didn't play it right. Or didn't read it right. Or didn't do SOMETHING right, anyway. Maybe you were expecting a different game.

I don't know what the 'main' route you did was, but you're supposed to do every other route before Mutsuki's, otherwise the plot won't work.

There's no good endings, though.

>> No.2509294

>>2509284
Can't remember the names of the characters anymore, but if Mutsuki is that "angel" girl who I think is the first winnable girl who is introduced, yeah I played her route.

>> No.2509312

>>2509294
Oh yeah and I was definitely expecting something else. The reason I started playing it was because I heard from a friend of mine (who is generally much more acquainted than I am) that this game was the most hardcore guro game that he knew. I'd already played BlackCyc's stuff before that, so yeah...

>> No.2509313

>>2509294
Yeah. Not the best way to progress through it, because the story doesn't really work that way, but it's the game's fault.
She's (usually) one of the first characters you see; it's obvious that the player would go after her route. The game should block it off or something.

>> No.2509319

>>2509312
That it definitely is NOT. What it is is a very dark game, but not in the guro way (despite having a bit of guro, like the infamous fisting scene). I view it more as a very well written psychological story than anything else.

And I shat bricks at the end of Mutsuki's route.

>> No.2509352

>>2509319
Sayonara wo Oshiete is sort of in the same boat as 'for elise' (understandable, because I believe it was made by the same company) except 'for elise' was much moreso- I view it as being a sort of 'too realistic' eroge. The entire cast of the game is apparently from Jerk City, the protagonist is an indecisive fuckwit and you get to enjoy the lovely experience of people being shitty to your self-insertion character in between the glorious 1996 [LOOK] [TALK] [MOVE] interface.

And you can only save once a day, but Flutter of Birds also did that shit (in 2001!) so I guess I can't complain too much.
