Anyway, I was bored and I extracted the same BGI.000 from the drm'd exe. So I'll explain the method here just in case it becomes useful information in the future.

The drm is from set#tec (xxx.acti#va#tion.co#jp) and seems to be called Alp#ha-R#om. The real exe is contained in a section called .stdata in bgi.exe. And the encryption is really simple: a 16 byte xor key plus 2 unencrypted bytes every 18 byte chunk. So for decryption you just have to read 16 bytes, xor them with the encryption key, skip the next 2 bytes, read 16, xor, skip 2, etc.

Getting the encryption key was simple, since anon already uploaded the decrypted exe. But even without that, it's really easy to figure out. The end of the exe has lots of null bytes, so when xored with the enc key, the result is the same enc key.

In the end, the decrypted exe is exactly the same as BGI.000.

What's funny is that bgi.exe has AES signatures (probably used for decrypting and unpacking itself) and they leave the real exe with just a 16 byte xor key.

You can still help Mangagamer and/or other fans by spreading the word. For example, after finishing the game, give it a rating on vndb. The more ratings it gets, the higher it'll be on the popularity list, and if the ratings are high enough, other people might get interested and buy it. (Or if the ratings are low, that's a good warning to those thinking it's a good VN).
Uploading screenshots and submitting quotes also helps, and of course, if it's good enough, just directly tell other fans, spam /jp/ with Suika threads, etc.
