similarly muramasa follows all the rules of japanese grammar, contains some specialist vocab given the subject matter, but is ultimately a piece of standard japanese writing

honestly i found muramasa easier to read than a typical 文学 novel like what might be the japanese equiv. to moby dick because ultimately it's just a shonen that focuses 99% of the time on the plot and doesn't leave much room for confusion as to what it's trying to express

well i dont really know what to compare muramasa to cuz i dont read that kind of shit in english (if it even exists) but trust me it's not hard to read at all in the sense that it's basically just shit you see all the time in books and movies that contain similar subject matter (taiga dramas that get like 10-15% overall tv viewership every week contain very similar kinds of subject matter/language)

it's not like the guy is writing modernist soc babble like joyce & it's almost entirely plot focused with very little ambiguity as to what's being said except for like a few jokes and certain scenes the only reason someone might find it difficult to read is because they have a poor grasp of japanese grammar or a limited vocabulary but it's not outside the realms of normal for sure
