Anyone else have this problem where you completely understand the grammar and words and what a sentence means in isolation but just cant figure out why the fuck it had to be said during a specific scene? I've been experiencing so many instances where I repeat a scene multiple times because I couldn't figure out how exactly this one sentence fits in a scenario. I'm pretty sure its because of how subjects/objects are omitted and I can only figure out who is which around 40% of the time. Ive read Tae Kim, JTMW and DoJG and they all say the same thing regarding omissions: "You have to guess from context", Is my IQ just too low for this?

Yes and do. Some people in the video clearly are above 50% accuracy, which does show that they have acquired parts of pitch accent.
