idk my pitch accent isnt that good i only started caring about it a few months ago. if i were you id just watch the dogen phonetics series then try and learn the pitch accent for words you know. ive gotten a lot better at hearing pitch since i started paying attention to it. im not too bothered if my pitch sucks though cause i rarely speak japanese these days anyway but i think there's no reason not to know the right pronunciation for words.
