Can you rephrase yourself? My understanding of masada methaphysics is really crappy but perhaps I would be able to answer something if you were a bit more clear. Are you referring to some scene from 最後の修羅 perhaps? Because I was already tired of kkk by then and only took a few glances at that, might give it a read somewhen in the future.

>> No.22966403

>>22965131
Yes. That is when she throws off Ren's blessing. To try to rephrase myself, you know how by choosing to be normal humans and rejecting God's blessings, the Kyogetsu siblings became free humans and cracked Hajun and his Law? In "The Last Shura" she rejects Ren's blessing and influence and stepped out into Tengu-do. So my question is, is Ryuumei under the influence of Hajun's Law? If she is, why doesn't she rejects it like she did Ren's? If she isn't, why doesn't it count as what the Kyogetsu siblings did?

>> No.22968380

>>22966403
Ryuumei is partly under influence of Hajun's Law. To completely reject God's Law you need to either be another god (or be under influence of one) or to archive 解脱 (gedatsu, dunno how it should be correctly translated to English - enlightenment or something like that?) like Kyogetsu siblings.
She was able to reject Ren's Law because he allowed it and because she left Edo and walked into Hajun's Law territory.

>> No.22968456

So Ryuumei is dyed with self-love?

>> No.22968872

>>22968456
Hm, I read kkk several years ago so I may remember some details incorrectly, but Ryuumei is still considered by Hajun's world as something external (the same as other Yatsukahagi), means for her being influenced by Hajun's Law = being destroyed. When she outside Edo she hides her presence so Hajun['s world] won't notice (kill) her. But it's not perfect and still slowly destroying her. When in battle with Morei she actually stops hiding and use her power as Yatsukahagi it's actually finally destroys her body and she explain that living in Hajun's world slowly killing her.

Well thanks for helping me. How does she hide her presence though? That art of Yin stuff?

>> No.22969068

>>22968926
Hmm, I'm not sure that exact method was described anywhere.
From what I remember (and some speculations): it was stated that from all Yatsukahagi she alone could possible do that because she is the least connected to Ren, and after rejecting his Law Ryuumei again became part of Reinhard's World. It was several times shown that Hajun have some sort of priorities in his actions and first try to kill the most powerful other he sense (like in Pantheon prologue he doesn't attack other Gods because he sense more powerful Naraka). The most powerful entity Hajun sense is Ren, so he and everyone related to him are main targets. Ryuumei has weak connection to Ren from the beginning and after rejecting became part of another (Reinhard's) world. She is still target for Hajun, but with less priority than Ren.

Also Ryuumei somehow separated part of her power and left it in Hakone (the building from one of the new chapters in Akebono, where she lived before going to Hajun's world) so she became even less target for Hajun.

Why did they do this? Both alpha and Omega ewigkeit are pretty crappy compared to everything else. I get that he's not supposed to be flashy until the very end so he doesn't need a cool song for himself, but it's still pretty disappointing. It sounds like they asked the music people for a "generic church-y sounding fancy song with chanting and shit" and that's what they got.

I suppose it's a matter of taste, and maybe having that song as the main menu theme spoiled it for me, but I can't bring myself to like it. I really like Mercurius too, so it's not because I don't like his character. It just feels too flavourless to me. All the other songs really nail the feel of their character, but omega ewigkeit just doesn't. It gives me a feeling of "this guy is majestic and austere".

Did you watch the End Battles of both Rea Routes before you came to have this opinion? Can't agree with you on Omega Ewigkeit because I liked it a fair bit immediately and why is giving you the feeling of "this guy is majestic and austere" a problem, that seems like the point? I didn't like Alpha Ewigkeit myself initially, but after watching Mitsudomoe multiple times I deeply enjoy it, especially 1:06-1:25 and 2:13-2:52

Magsarion's not even human anyhow. And well, that's just speaking of Wahman Yast shrinking due to his weird distortion annihilating distance outright, much like Harumitsu's world shrinking in Bansenjin. Hell, the entire universe accomodated to the space Magsarion erased.

>> No.22983452

>>22983039
Yeah. I was listening through the OST and I realized how meh Omega Ewigkeit is compared to everything else. I never really liked it to begin with but that was the case with most of the songs (only Thrud Walkure was an instant hit for me) but I came around on all of them except Mercurius' songs.
>"this guy is majestic and austere" a problem, that seems like the point?
Because that's not who Mercurius is. It doesn't mesh well with his presentation. Reinhard is the opposite. You have this character whose mere presence hits like a truck. Terrifying, majestic, etc. etc. A perfect fit for the Dies Irae remix on many levels. With Mercurius, you have a guy that's a mystery for most of the story. All we know is that he's a trickster, an arrogant guy, and much more than meets the eye. And Omega Ewigkeit just doesn't represent that. If this were some kind of generic RPG, I'd expect a judge or some kind of similar official to have a theme like this.
>after watching Mitsudomoe multiple times I deeply enjoy it,
What are you referring to? I looked Mitsudomoe up and it's some unrelated manga/anime.

>> No.22983472

>>22983452
Yeah but the mysterious guy wearing hobo rags usually has unus mundus as his theme. The Mercurius that gets Omega ewigkeit as a theme is blow up the universe and throw stars around Throne God Mercurius so to me it makes sense, but of course your opinion can differ and I'm not saying I'm right. Mitsudomoe is Three Colors Route ie. Ren vs Rein vs Merc

>> No.22983574

>>22983472
It's true that Unus mundus is a pretty good song for the quieter moments with Mercurius, but that aspect of him doesn't really go away when he's revealed. I guess what I was trying to say is that the smug guy in the hobo rags gives way to a senile freak who jabbers nonsense while throwing around galaxies and shit. Both Omega Ewigkeit are too austere and "formal" sounding. It doesn't really convey the sense of surrealism and lunacy that facing this guy with the two colossal snakes swirling around him is supposed to instill.

That there was more to him than his portrayal in Dies Irae and there are reasons why he sort of "regressed" if you will

>Saoshyant Aushedar ( Everlasting Horizon of Slaughter)
>Magsarion's Commandment. In exchange for the binding of "Forbidding physical touch between myself and others with the exception of those involving killing intent", he gets the boon of "The total sum of killing intent is turned into offensive power". That is, Magsarion can only touch opponents he holds killing intent towards, and he can only be touched by those desiring to kill him. Love, friendship, sympathy, comfort... physical contact that carries these intents plus many others is impossible, even a greeting tap on the shoulder would break the Commandment. It is a Commandment of isolation and slaughter, akin to those of the three locusts or Spenta Mainyu, however, given the sentiment that forms its foundation overemphasizes killing intent, it manifests in this form. Furthermore, because it doesn't even explain environmental circunstances, the difficulty of compliance is even higher. This is already not the way of living of a human being, therefore its rewarding effect is terrific.
>In accordance to the degree the opponent and oneself's killing intent rise, power will increase. That is, a counter against powerful existences, starting with the Archdemons. From a theoretical standpoint, infinite killing power, with no limits, can be manifested, and by bouncing the opponent's killing intent back, even using Power of the Ego (Garyoku) is not impossible. As an Ashavan, whose forte lies in union and reliance, it is an heretical, extreme binding. However, Magsarion's bottom is yet unseen, and it is conceiveable that he has several more Commandments (Masada said he has 3 in the past but last chapter revealed he may have up to 4)

>Older Brother's (Anija's) Heart:
>Words leaking out once Magsarion's wicked nature has risen. Their meaning is unknown, whether it is a metaphor, or if he really is feeling Varhram's palpitations. The truth is shrouded in mystery. Nevertheless, there have been many cases in which, at the time these words leak out of Magsarion's mouth, he has exhibited a mysterious power that can slash, annihilate all things in Creation, though its true nature is, likewise, unknown.

It is certainly a power he himself cannot control, as Sirius said, "An awkward, half baked technique that doesn't go beyond mere child's play". Therefore, its proper form seems to be something different altogether.

>Furthermore, Saoshyant Aushedar is, in Zoroastrian tradition, the first of the 3 Saoshyants that will bring the victory of Good and renew the world. 3 Saoshyants... 3 Commandments, the number Magsarion has. I bet the other two are called Saoshyant Aushedarmah and Saoshyant Asvat-ereta (final Saoshyant who brings the ultimate victory of Good).

>Chapter starts basically where the previous one left off. Roxanne, standing in the center, is making a speech towards the public in the arena. Saying it's been 13 years since the Dragvant on this planet have been annihilated, but the memories of the past concerning the painful age that came before settling on the current Wahman Yast are still lively, and even now their hearts carry deep wounds, surely too many. Roxanne herself she's not exception, as she has lost many close people to her, starting with her father, there's no moment she forgets about such sadness. In spite of that, no, because of that, they must protect the smiling faces of the children who didn't know that painful period of their history, that alongside building a connection to the future and keep pushing forward will be their duty. Simple vain quiet sleep, and indulging in the inmediate future's happiness won't ever be true peace. While carrying out her speech, the tone of her voice is soft and tender, she's not shouting nor speaking loudly but, thanks to the Sam Blessing, her voice reaches the entirety of the Royal Capital. Continuing, Roxanne says that for such a reason they, the Yazata, will follow Varhram's dying wish, and continue with this harsh war in the outer territories. Naturally, the current state of affairs is hard and they cannot be optimistic, but results are always coming their way; Roxanne adds she holds the firm conviction that everyone's earnest prayers will become power to support those fighting in the front lines.

>Quinn is amazed at the fluidity of Roxanne's speechcraft. The arena is overcrowded, nearly 10,000 people filling its seats, and yet she keeps the nerve to calmly speak in front of so many people., smoothyl delivering her words. As job, it is simple, however, it is a big deal that there's not even a hint of tension in Roxanne's perfectly kept on stage composure. But of course, there's stuff to nitpick and, while she continues speaking, the neighbouring Samruhk laughs, asking Quinn is she has noticed Roxanne is not being specific at all. Quinn of course has noticed, but she's not lying either. Though Roxanne's speech is full of honeyed words, there are parts of it that certainly ring true, says Alma, her words full of cynicism, and Quinn can only nod in silence. The group is sitting next Roxanne, the event's sponsor, in seats for noble guests, in their role of heroes. Roxanne is technically being sincere with the people, so her speech doesn't feel one bit suspicious. As Samruhk has pointed out, the concrete details are vague, but people will believe what they want to believe. This is the very purpose of Verethragna, expressing their gratitude to the people and desire to protect them, such premise is not a lie. This festival is not an act of self praise under the pretense of aiding the people.

>The only one not satisfied by Roxanne's speech was Ferdows, whom Alma advises to keep his feelings in check, and to change that angry looking mug (not even asking him to smile or laugh). Though he nods in understanding, his strongly cut wrinkles in between his eyebrows remain unchanged, glaring at Roxanne with scowling eyes. Quinn's sympathetic to his feelings, stemming from hearing the word "results" coming out of the fox woman's mouth. Though it is useless to be angry at Roxanne herself, unwipable feelings of guilt and regret swirl in Ferdows' inside, the person he cannot ever forgive is none other than himself. Ferdows is, as of now, still apologizing to Marika's departed spirit, whom he killed himself. He had thought that he'd forget it somehow after returning to Wahman Yast, and being in contact with the smiles of the people... but the reality of the situation is that his emotional wounds are far from healed, he's angry instead. He has become much more serious now as a result. Quinn and Samruhk telepathically speak of this, and Quinn just sighs, she finds it annoying nothing she'd say to Fer will help, but she also understand that her friend doesn't wish for any words of temporary consolation.

>Roxanne continues her speech, announcing that this time, heroes who have engaged in life and death struggles with Archdemons and mangnificently drove them back are amongst them, although unfortunately, the Archdemons in question haven't been vanquished, though that doesn't imply it is not a great achievement in the war. Announcing them as Varhram's second coming, she asks for applauses. At her urge, clapping hands and cheering shouts erupted, the ovation was akin to the roar of thunder, and no one but Zurvan reacts to the praises in a dignified and self important manner. Ferdows' full of bitterness face doesn't change, while Quinn, Samruhk and Alma widely smile. Roxanne just calmly said they "drove them back", her standpoint and intentions are understandable, but for them, it'd be difficult to act as shamelessly as Zurvan in this situation. Roxanne continues by saying the Hero's legend isn't over, and that as long as there are prayers towards peace in everyone's hearts, miracles will happen any number of times they are required, she begs them to swear the light of hope will never be extinguished, as those thoughts will become supreme power, superior to anything.

>Roxanne's speech was about to come to an end, so was their unconfortable position. Samruhk says the current state of affairs is weird, as she was expecting some kind of tournament. Though Quinn reprimands Samruhk's comment, saying it is foolish, deep down she's thinking just the same, as normally you'd think this arena was for the purpose of "showcasing the might of the heroes to the masses", in the first place the gist of the Post-Festival is "Promise of Victory", and just like the Pre-Festival's protagonists are the new generations of young aspiring Yazata, the leading actors of the Post-Festivals ought to be long serving Yazata, traditionaly. Alma just says that this place is an arena, and its presence would indicate a festival in which they'd see blood being spilled, before asking Zurvan what his intuition tells him... who answers by telling her not to use people as convenient items, his nose is restricted to Dragvant, such matters she's asking for are outside his area of expertise, his eyes shining like those of a child all the way through, and Quinn says that, despite his consciousness being hard to read as usual, there's no doubt he's amused... and Zurvan's expectation is in general linked to some good for nothing result, from Quinn's own experience. Who the hell is going to fight here? Quinn is anxious, just thinking of that. Or perhaps it is that Quinn knows who will fight, thus she can't help but to feel anxiety.

>>23054268
>And now, Roxanne announces the entrance of someone all too familiar to the group. Someone she says holds, in the present Wahman Yast, the greatest feats in the battlefield, a Yazata among Yazata... Magsarion. That name's utterance doesn't only leave Quinn gasping, it also affects Alma, Samruhk and Ferdows in the same way, only Zurvan is unfazed while they stare at the arena in astonishment. Though Quinn thinks it's logical he would be the one fighting here, she doesn't think Magsarion would have agreed to become the subject of an exhibition in such a place. Quinn's eye could catch the appearence of the black knight, appearing from the other side of the gate, and not only his outer appearence, but also the hatred-like raging flame whirling in his inside told her he was the real deal. She asks the people to applaud in his presence, as he is the Hero Varhram's younger brother (something most of them may already know), who is so dedicated to his late great older brother's dying wish that he keeps pushing forward, for the sake of justice. Alma, dumbfounded, just says "Idiot...", and for her who's known him the longest among them, this scene is totally unbelieveable. The Hero's Younger Brother. Great older brother. For justice's sake... all those phrases are extra large landmines Roxanne is stepping on. How Magsarion feels about Varhram doesn't leave the realm of imagination, but he can't possibly like some know-it-all speaking of that. And right now, he was throwing deep killing intent in all directions: towards Roxanne, towards the audience... wicked feelings identical to those he might exude towards a Daeva. And in spite of that, he didn't move. Though it was expected Magsarion would pay no attention to the place's atmosphere, he was exposing himself to public view, while rage burned inside of him. It was frankly strange, akin to a bad dream.

>Zurvan's a little dissappointed he's just enduring all those glares while keeping silent, akin like a spoiled child not getting what he wanted. Usually, no matter how thickheaded, any person would be able to guess Magsarion's danger hints, however, the nearly 10,000 people crowding the arena are ectasic, and the thin ice-like situation they were in was something they couldn't understand, and at Roxanne's urging, they received their "new Hero" in jubilation. Zurvan suggests he's come here to face his "older brother's phantom", certainly a great enemy. Upon hearing that, Alma asks what's the basis for him to say Magsarion's come to challenge Varhram's influence/power... answer: "intuition". To challenge the concept of "Hero", to challenge the "everyone" said concept proudly serves. Quinn certainly can understand him, if that's what Magsarion's intention here is: not only to him, but to them also, Varhram's like a big wall. If they, who are living the present, do not become the leading actors of this tale, victory will be really far away. Zurvan speculates that's precisely the reason Magsarion attends the festival year after year.

>Now only one question remains... who is his opponent? If there's not going to be physical fighting, the arena would be useless, and if Magsarion came here, surely he'd fight someone who'd be appropriate to play the role of "Varhram's phantom". And while Quinn thinks who it'd be, Roxanne finally announces his name: Holy King Sirius, the leader of all Ashavan, and someone who can't be said to be any other thing than the Hero's vessel. Upon the announcement, the public goes crazy with excitement and cheers. The group, in contrast, is totally speechless, this will be a confrontation in between two generations of heroes: the old and the new. Yet Quinn can't shake the feeling of "no way". Ferdows just says with a gasp-like voice that this is foolishness, while Samruhk looks at the group, with fear in her face, saying this must be stopped. Magsarion can't possibly engage in sham battles, he's gonna take this totally seriously, and will Sirius. This is no joke: the leader of Wahman Yast and the ace of the Yazata are about to kill each other. What is Roxanne even thinking? And why did these two accept to do this? Roxanne says that Varhram's story began the day he crossed swords with a young Sirius, though she won't explain the details in full, given it is the prologue to a great legend all the people assisting to this event surely know. While Sirius draws his sword, and Magsarion likewise draws a greatsword rusty with blood, Roxanne continues, saying none of them knows of the brilliance of those days, they only know of such glorious meeting as a bedtime story of dreamlike beautiful times. Therefore, now they will recreate the supreme story that the King and the Hero spun, a new legend, for the sake of reaching a universe in which Good throbs, and everyone lives with no crying involved; for the sake of seeing a miracle's fullfilment, as if it had slipped out of a fairy tale.

>And upon swearing over the wings of the holy Vohu Manah, as if these words were but a signal, the two men face each other and start running towards one another. The shock coming from the clash of Magsarion and Sirius' swords shakes the entire arena, both fighters totally serious. Both, with no hesitation, are trying to claim their opponent's life, this is certianly no mock fight. This does nothing but increase the audience's wild enthusiasm, and given most of them are disconnected from the vicissitudes of battle, they can't possibly tell a simple match apart from a fight to the death, though as Ashavan, they are a bit lacking in self restraint. It could be said that one said of people is that life and death struggles shake their hearts, and the concept of death fascinates them, but the preciousness of Good ought to be having learnt shame/embarrassment. This time however, is different. It is as if the fight between the New Hero and the Holy King were inviting them to the inside of a dream, as if they were seeing Varhram's legend. After muttering some... interesting words towards Sirius, Roxanne leaves the scene, the only two remaining people in the arena's center being the two fighters, continuing locking swords while looking at each others' eyes nonstop. In constrast with the excitement surrounding it, it was kind of a tranquil scene, with some dignity to it, and Quinn wouldn't be amazed if this state of affairs lasted for 24 hours straight. However, that equilibrium is instantly broken, as in terms of pure physical strength, Magsarion is superior to Sirius, who's nearing 50 years old by this point, and he can't possibly compete with the youth of the ferocious black knight, and he's making his opponent's body tilt while applying even more pressure to his blow. If this continues like this and he receives a sword blow, he'll be bisected. Just in that moment, swiftly and without delay, Sirius' sword slipped and, with his body's rotation, he instantly attacks Magsarion's back, rather than repel his strength.

>All the Yazata in the public are left gazing at the spectacle in astonishment, even though Sirius' movement is not particularly special. If you are to fight Daeva who greatly exceed a regular human in physical strength, it is just common sense that one's technique would be honed to such standard level and possibly they could all imitate the technique Sirius has shown just now. However, reproducing it with the same level of precision/accuracy seemed impossible, what at a glace was an easy basic move was truly a terrific move that left no gaps open, it was totally unmatched, too ideal, and reversely, the embodiment of heresy-like elegance. Sirius taunts Magsarion, saying that he's as unskillful as ever, and that he doesn't change. Holy King Sirius, the late Hero's friend, swipes sideways with his sword, clean and serene, an infallible slash that gave no hint of its beginning, aimed at Magsarion's head, which he manages to avoid by inches. He distances himself from Sirius by rolling in the ground, an unrefined way to do so, in the antipodes of the King's style, while blowing a smokescreen-like cloud of dust, so as to prevent pursuit. It was an action akin to those of a beast who doesn't care for its appearence, however those who knew the black knight to some extent could understand what was going to happen... all of Magsarion's actions eventually lead to an attack.

>>23054287
>Just then, Magsarion uses two instances of Vohu Manah's Divine Blessing, Sam and Fravard, to create a new custom technique: Kamangir. From the tip of Magsarion's sword, which he now swings downward, comes a black shockwave, an arrow-like flying slash thanks to having received a Flight Blessing, that goes towards Sirius with a guillotine's might. It was a wind of death coming from beyond the smokescreen, a life taking sword that could be said to be a threat unto itself. But... there was one serious problem here. The fight's scene was not a wasteland nor a battlefield, using such a technique in an arena that hosts nearly 10,000 people would yield loses and damage of unknown magnitude. It'd be a catastrophe if Sirius avoided it, so there's only one thing the Holy King could do. It seemed as if the end of his life was in sight... at least in the eyes of the others, while Sirius just mutters this is just foolish behaviour. Towards the attack approaching him, the King only raised the tip of his sword and then, in accordance of such seemingly unsophisticated move, the black bladed wind vanished like mist in Sirius' presence, much like the darkness of night being purified by the morning sun. Sirius tells Magsarion something akin to "Who do you think I am? Come at me with your own power!". Sirius is the starting point from which the Star Spirit feathers that are granted to all Yazata are distributed, therefore nullifying the effects of Divine Blessings is something triffling for him, he could even forcibly take feathers away one by one if he felt like it, therefore Magsarion's trademark tactic is no use against Sirius. Again, this leads to taunting, with Sirius implying he can do nothing without feathers, and asking if his path is truly using borrowed power while putting on airs of acting without relying on others (無頼, found it fitting to mention this since this is Lot's Sin in Paradise Lost).

>Sirius declares he wants to cleanse Magsarion's "shame", as Varhram's friend. Just at that time, Magsarion begins to exude a wave of ghastly feelings, delight maybe? It is difficult to tell, as his face is hidden by his helmet. Just then, Magsarion says he can heart the sound of his older brother's heart. And then, with a curse-like roar coming from the depths of the ground, the world changed. What was happening wasn't the result of a Divine Blessing nor of a Commandment, it was a strange distortion that deviated from this world's Principle. With Magsarion at its center, the Law of the Universe was thrown into disarray, into madness. It was close to Power of the Ego, in terms of how it twisted common sense, but the "depth" of it couldn't be bound in such dimensions. One thing's sure, this is a power Magsarion himself cannot control, as the black knight, who bares his teeth at ethics and risks, had never used it till now. And now, he had released such ferocious superpower against Sirius, and together with the black knight sticking his hand in front of him, an unbelieveable phenomenon happened. Sirius had been pulled towards Magsarion. No... the space that separated the two suddenly vanished. Once the separation in between them dissappeared, Sirius wouldn't commit the foolishness of exchanging blows, rather, now it was the time for the Holy King to roll over and dodge Magsarion... but it was no use. With each sword slash of his, space vanished again, distance had completely lost its meaning in the face of the strange teleportation Magsarion kept using. The arena, which previously had the shape of a nearly perfect circle, had begun to be distorted because of the adjustment to the vanishing space. No... not just the arena, but also the city, the country, the continent... and the planet itself, all shrunk due to Magsarion's slashes.

>He was killing the universe. It had really small scale, as far as his sword could reach, but he was certainly annihilating (Metsujin) all of Creation. The theory and causality behind it were all unknown, it was a Daemonic Sword before which all defense was useless, out of control ultimate destruction, residing in an area surpassing human intellect, surely a work of the Gods. And in spite of everything, Sirius can only say what he is seeing deplorable. This time, he doesn't dodge, but uses his sword to intercept Magsarion's slash head on, any normal person would just abandon on trying to pull off such absurdity, but Sirius too was a man who didn't know when to stop. He manages to repel the blow, then switches to attack fiercely, his sword unchanged and not causing any abnormalities like Magsarion has done. Or... maybe not. Each of Magsarion's attacks were visibly extremely dangerous, with his every action, the world itself was ruined, even know the arena kept creaking and twisting. However, no one was afraid, no one was screaming nor taking refuge, the audience continued cheering at the fighting to the death below. This was the answer to the wild enthusiasm that had been in place since the beginning: Shameless people who do not reflect back on one's own life nor other people's lives, this too was an abnormality which exceeded the Principle in place, a distortion in the world's Law. What if the source of it were Sirius...

>Sirius tells Magsarion they are both imitations, unshapely struggling while chasing after Varhram's shadow and as a result, they feel proud of being able to mimic Varhram up to this point. Next, blood flutters about after the King's downward swing, as Magsarion top of the shoulder is cut, and he jumps to distance himself from Sirius, standing opposite to him now. While pondering about how some people amongst the Yazata praise Magsarion as a righteous follower of his Avesta, Sirius adds that everything in this world is a mistake, as disgusting as "being embraced by an insane mother". His prayer has become a deeply raging Hadou, expanding while crawling on the ground. Sirius says that, although they are unshapely distorted, they are still disconnected from the world's Principle. If so, they have no reason to lag behind people with blind obedience to their Avesta. Why does Magsarion keep attacking like a Man Murdering Demon at best? Why does Sirius himself still strive to avenge his friend? Magsarion answers him with silence but Sirius, paying no mind, continues, saying the answer to all of that is "shame". Magsarion still has regret to this day, and Sirius himself hasn't been able to purge his shame. They are both still half baked and, if they remain as they are, they won't be able to exceed the curse of their Mad Mother, and the fact Magsarion cannot handle such child's play-like, inferior stunts (he is talking about the mysterious "distortion") seems like enough proof. Their swords clash again and, as if in response to Sirius' soul, Magsarion finally opens his mouth, asking what can someone who drank his ass off while pitying his brother (referencing Sirius) do. Sirius is ashamed of that, and says he now understand how Magsarion looked at them at those times: like detestable trash, little more than bait for the pigs. Now he understands the reasons for such a foolish ruler like himself to have given birth to such a rotting rule, therefore, he wants to become shameless, and create a Remorseless and Shameless/Muzanmuki world (無慙無愧の世界を創る), while their swords clash. And in the end, he'll clear away Magsarion's shame, and resurrect Varhram.

>Such was the core of the ideal/dream the Holy King kept in his heart, which collides with Magsarion's curse, the emerging sillhoutte-like desire's outline was surely nothing but a madman's dream. The Hero had already died, that past was something they couldn't take back. Though these two would be expected to understand that more than anyone, actually, they were the ones who rejected said fact more than any others. They are still lamenting the loss of a loved one, and that's something Quinn can sympathize with, no matter how crazy it is, she can sympathize with craving for lost warmth. However, the feelings they both shared were not something within that particular dimension, they emitted a particular disgusting, yet heroic, stench of blood. Magsarion continues, asking if all of this means that Sirius is telling him to obey and follow him. Sirius tells him he's right, while Magsarion will exterminate the unenlightened, he will ready the stage. Trying to convince Magsarion, he says that he was lured to the arena in order to see through Sirius himself, asking if it wasn't because he felt an omen. He urges the silent Magsarion to answer, saying Sirius too is his brother. The Wicked Yazata keeps silent at the King's words... before finally agreeing. The mysterious distortion has already dissappeared. Magsarion tells the Holy King that, from the start, he knows nothing but killing, he will wipe all the trash without leaving a trace and, if Sirius' world (Muzan, kanji below the furigana) irritates him, he will kill him too. To this, Sirius just answers he doesn't care, stuff like his life is unconsequential, everything's but an offering to his friend, an oath (furigana, kanji says muzan), a miracle. Then Sirius turns his back too, and the bewildered masses begin their clapping, cheering, shouts of joy, etc.... though have understood nothing. There's no single person there who can truly guess at the meaning of the events that unfolded on that day, at that place.

>The group's commenting that it's good everything's ended safely, but they feel they've had their lifespans shortened by all that has transpired. Quinn and Samruhk both sigh in relief, the moment Magsarion used his Star Spirit Divine Blessing they were struck with terror, but they are relieved they were saved cause they stuck to a proper fencing match later on. The fight's abrupt end was somewhat mysterious, though this result is good cause none of them have died this time around. Samruhk says Sirius is plenty strong for a middle aged man, something that surprised her, something Ferdows says is to be expected from Varhram's sworn friend and ally. Quinn is just in awe, she had heard of Sirius' service as a warrior, but she didn't think he kept in shape that much. Then they start discussing Magsarion's performance, Samruhk commenting the King's strength made him nervous. Though Quinn sighs at Samruhk and Ferdows' squabble about the fight, something they say is right: Sirius starting a fight to the death was somewhat strange. The answer to such questions comes from Zurvan, who joins the conversation: the King was trying to kill Magsarion in order not to kill Magsarion. The group couldn't understand his abrupt answer, exchanging unknowing glances. Starting a fight with the intent to kill for the sake of not killing his opponent? That was a contradiction in itself. Was this some kind of riddle? Zurvan was avoiding explaining anything while grinning, so Samruhk shifted her attention to Alma, who answers after sighing.

>> No.23054310

>>23054301
Alma however, is no less cryptic, asking them if they know at what kind of time Magsarion reserves one feather. They are dumbfounded, not seeing any correlation with what they asked and the answer they got. Quinn feels Alma's attitude is different from Zurvan's, she's not being insincere, and is trying to answer the question. Samruhk remembers he saved a feather that time, when the incident with Layley happened. At that time, Magsarion had reported he had used up all of his feathers, but in fact, his fill wasn't at zero at that time. He didn't hitch a ride with them, he teleported back to Wahman Yast on his own, which was something Quinn had attributed to his lone wolf personality, so she didn't think it over till now, it is hard to imagine the ever rational Magsarion doing meaningless actions. So what is it? This prompts them to ask if there's any reason Magsarion cannot teleport alongside other people... and that's the correct answer, Samruhk bets, she is even willing to say that Magsarion cannot touch other people. Alma corrects her by saying he cannot do so, except to kill each other. The group abruptly opened their eyes wide open at the answers, for they had discovered Magsarion's previously wrapped in mystery Commandment. Alma however says it's her and Zurvan's guess, but she thinks there's no doubt about it. While Alma nods in conviction, a dizziness and chills assail Quinn... a Commandment that forbids physical touch except for one's carrying killing intent. Magsarion can't touch anyone he doesn't want to kill, and also he won't be able to touch anyone aside from opponents who want to kill him. It is only natural he wouldn't engage in group teleportation, as that means touching others. Zurvan tells the group that, in a word, even touching his shoulder as a way to thank him would end up with Magsarion dying. A handshake would do the same, same for a hug. Flirting with women is out of the question, as all of these are things that would break his Commandment. Therefore, for this reason, the King had to put killing intent into their fight.

Even Samruhk, whose Commandment holds great weight and entails high risk, receives a powerful shock from this revelation. If this is truly Magsarion's Commandment, it is in the same class as the rumored Commandment of the 3rd Rank Archdemon, others are just targets for killing and at the same time, enemies who'd want to kill Magsarion. In the end, all that remains will be a wasteland of slaughter with no one left standing, with Magsarion standing alone on top of it. Samruhk just says the binding is quite fucking absurd, and asks what kind of boon could you possibly get from enduring such a thing. Alma says that, within what she's seen, it seems that it converts the total sum of killing intent into offensive power, it'd be a system in which the enemy hits him with strong killing intent, then he adds his own to make his strength raise, making him even able to tear apart the Man Murdering Demons' immortality. Saying it's a kind of counter, Zurvan speculates that, if given the right circunstances, such a thing would let him use his opponent's Power of the Ego. While Zurvan scornfully laughs at Quinn's reaction at Magsarion's way of living, Alma just tells her that they can't really say anything about it, as once a Commandment is set, it cannot be overturned, and it was Magsarion who chose this. Quinn was frustrated about it all, thinking about how Alma's Commandment is really similar in a way. Then, Zurvan said something unexpected, that he is sure Magsarion has more Commandments other than this one. Samruhk and Ferdows can do nothing but think Zurvan is either joking or just outright lying, though they are visibly shaking just thinking about it, and Quinn's similarly frozen.

Because Commandments do not follow the 1 person-1 Commandment structure, it is obviously possible to have more than 1. However, Quinn has no info on anyone who's done such a thing. Theoretically, having multiple Commandments also means an increase in strictness, and the punishment for breaking them is also more extreme. Merely losing one's life wouldn't be enough, Avesta says. And Magsarion, who's already got one heavy binding, would impose himself with far more? It's just a guess but, from what Zurvan has seen of him, he has more than one Commandment, it's a feeling he can't accurately explain. Then the question of exactly how many he has comes up. Alma replies, he has 2 more, or possibly 3. Quinn's just speechless at that. The greatest possible number for him is 4 Commandments? With limitations stricter than restricting all physical touch? Quinn feels it is simply ridiculous, thinking that if in such state it'd be possible for him to breathe.

I imagine we'll get something more concrete once everything about Varhram and his end is finally put to light.

The curse of the side of 'Good' that we've been made to hear about previously in KKK is about how it restricts non-good actions to defeat Evil. Looking at where Avesta is going though, it extends beyond that. For the Ashavan to stay Ashavan, they likely have to maintain their image of 'Good' by cleansing anything that might stain it.

Avesta started with the scene of a pregnant woman committing suicide to kill her unborn baby because it was a Dragvant. Perhaps it was a correct choice in a world ruled by their Avesta, but the woman felt utterly humiliated that such a thing was growing inside her. She calmly thought that the correct course of action was to commit suicide with the baby and wanted her husband to be proud of her actions. We're distracted by how the baby's comments showed how abnormal and inhuman it was being a Dragvant, but this choice in the face of shaming your identity as an Ashavan is likely going to be a very important core element.

Magsarion used his "distortion" against Mashyana after Quinn got a power up, her instinct told her that it is something dangerously disgusting and an abomination, that whether they are ashavan or dragvant, it is something that touch their souls, a 3rd and new value that subjugate the law of the universe.
Mashyana decided to not pursue the group because she becomes afraid and wary of Magsarion and continuing so would be dangerous for her.

I actually kinda glad that Pantheon failed because I don't like gachage (and can't imagine how Masada's narrative-heavy writing can work with typical dialogue-only mobage format) and rather read it as webnovels. The whole aim of the enty/ and avesta as a whole is the revival of pantheon, since they need to buy back the various rights and assets which are currently held by some creditor - which is where I assume most of the entybux is going towards
Pantheon's scenario itself was going to be massive, each main story chapter was going to be the same length as Ikabey and that's without any battle descriptions, so you can imagine how long a Pantheon chapter would be if Masada would write out the battles.

Actually, it feels like Masada has fallen into one of his usual traps and made the villains much more interesting than the heroes. I really like all the demon kings so far and want them to have more time to shine, but since we only have about 10 chapters left, someone has to bite the dust soon. This suspicion has only grown stronger this chapter, since Mashyana is speculated to be the first one to die (the top three are too strong, Frederica is too tough to kill and Kaikhosru and Aka Manah feel too important). Which is an even bigger shame because she's probably my favorite. I can only hope her relation to Hirume will come up sooner rather than later.

>it feels like Masada has fallen into one of his usual traps and made the villains much more interesting than the heroes
I'm gonna have to disagree with you there
Quinn's character growth has been a real treat to witness and we're not even half-way through yet, so she still has much more room to grow and damn she is really putting in work as seen in the latest chapter
Magsarion is extremely intriguing since there's so much about him that we just don't know, especially since it doesn't seem as clear cut as he tried to make it seem with his monologue in the switch scenario
Zurvan is a obviously a fun character to read and his whole fixation on chaos (and his relationship with Mashyana and incest) is obviously getting expanded on more during this current chapter/arc, especially with him being out of his element
And Sirius himself is perhaps the most intriguing character of them all and his role will most likely have the greatest bearing on the story
Samluch overall is a pretty likeable character and I don't doubt she'll have her own moments later on
Fers on the other hand, is probably the only protagonist who I don't really care too much for. Not saying I dislike but he doesn't really leave that much of an impression
Also, the whole "villains are much more interesting than the heroes" thing hasn't really been relevant since Dies Irae. The protagonists of KKK and Senshinkan were extremely compelling and charming in my own opinion, some more so than the antagonists (which isn't to say that the antagonists weren't compelling or charming in their own rights.

Mashyana swallowed the whole star system (7 planets) in which she is. This is a huge sakura tree that absorbs even gas giants.
And these are her pets the size of a large cow. Sakura petals turn into these monsters. (They are equivalent to tier 2 Daeva) It seems from one branch can grow more than 100 million of these monsters.

Mashyana tried to devour Zurvan but he used the teleport to escape and ended up in the body of some Ashawan. Now some kind of illness has appeared in Druj Nasu.

Not tried, she did devoured his old Star Spirit body.
Zurvan tried to escape by teleportation but "something" happened and he was incarnated as a human, the same time Alma and Magsarion met him. He could no longer get an erection after that.
Also yes, Mashyana's gayomart(body) started to decay after devouring Zurvan.

Before I get too far in to Paradise Lost I just wanted to ask if there is a specific route order, or should I just not worry about it?

>> No.23147708

>>23147599
Paradise Lost doesn't have routes. Essentially in the final chapter you either follow the pov of either Lyle (Lil's ending) or Know (Sophia and Ast's endings) depending on your choices. Each girl has a normal and good ending. I recommend you just go through the good endings first in the order of: Lil, Sophia and then Ast for last. You could probably switch Sophia and Lil if you want but Ast should be saved for last.
You can use this walkthrough here: http://cross13h.nobody.jp/game.htm

I think it's better to just let it die at this point. Even chapter days barely get any discussion anymore. Nobody posts chapters for the poorfag JOPs anymore, so it's not like they have a reason to continue coming here, and EOPs can't really discuss much at all, since they have to rely on mere summaries.

Not accurate, it was the mashyag(ring), a tech from Khvarenah that Mashyana possess and who helped her becoming a maou that resonated with Magsarion and made him into child.
Actually Mashyana didn't do anything and was concerned of why it happened, she didn't pursued them last chapter because she's afraid that it may be a deadly trap.

It was better than I expected. I expected good chuuni stuff and it did not fail to deliver, but the SoL was surprisingly charming and so was the romance. I'm disappointed with the lack of new CGs though. It also would've been pretty interesting to see something related to Trifa, but I suppose it would've been really difficult to fit something new in a way that would fit with the overall plot of the VN.

That was pretty fucking goofy. Watching Wilhelm outwit a spook is kind of a letdown after watching him survive a melee with darkness itself. Introducing this little bit of magic/science tension with how she tried to subdue him with the power of SCIENCE only to fail feels really out of place. I don't know what Masada was thinking here. He probably just didn't have a clue what to do with her.

It he could've done is bring back that chick that shows up in the side-story where Kai and Beatrice fight. Remember her? With the shotgun? Something about being a byproduct of being hit by Wilhelm's thorns. She could've tried to learn more about him, and then had a fangirl moment where she spergs out and spills spaghetti all over the club and Wilhelm laughs her out of the room. It would've been goofy as hell but better than CIA shit.
