I have to agree. I found the story to be somewhat lacking, especially after the first two hours of the game. I mean the whole 'My brain is damaged so I have a fucked up perception of the world' was a great premise, but it didn't lead to anything in the end.

The sex scenes were hot though.

What else did you want it to lead to?
Eating people and wiping out the human race was not enough?

Also, shitty trolls. It wasn't as good as say, Ever17 but still

I think Saya no Uta is pretty awesome!

>> No.2288856

>>2288396

I was hoping that Saya was just an illusion caused by the brain damage, and that Fuminori was the one responsible for all the murders and such. The whole start of the relationship between Saya and him was just too flawless. Why does a highly intelligent being that loathes humans enough to eat/torture/rape them suddenly trust Takafumi so much? A little hard to believe.

I admit that I am propably overthinking things, this is not a mystery VN after all, but a little more mindfuckery from such a flawed (braindamaged!) first person narrator would have been great.

>> No.2288864

>>2288856

Saya doesn't loathe humans. Whatever gave you that idea? She simply doesn't consider them her equals.

I think this is the most horrible review of the game I have ever read. Its stupidity is only topped by your follow-up comments.

music was good, art was great, the story was appealing (to me [LOL OPINIONS]), but I thought it was rather short.

>She simply doesn't consider them her equals.

Despite the torture and rape, she also ate a baby in the hospital so I kinda asumed that she isn't particulary fond of humans.

Anyways all I'm saying is that the story could have been a lot more interesting if Fuminori's disease played a larger role beyond the exposition.

>torture and rape
As has already been said, she does not consider humans as equals. She does not torture and rape, she experiments.

As I believe that the main theme of the game is the fragility of one's 'humanity', I think that 'mindfuckery' such as you suggest would have been out of place.

Fuck yes I do.

Also, I like the idea of eldritch horrors that find the human form abhorrent, are terrified of humans and would leave us alone if it weren't for lunatic cultists summoning them on Earth over and over again, sometimes with methods as easy as repeating "Hastur".

Good for you? What does this have to do with the discussion?

>> No.2289007

I don't think anyone cares about being on topic on /jp/.

>> No.2289012

Saya definitely didn't hate humans. She actually just wanted to be accepted by them (probably because of her biological instinct to highjack the most intelligent species on the planet) which is why she was so quick to take to Fuminori, the only human who wasn't appalled by her appearance.

>> No.2289017

>>2289007
I don't particularly care either, but the 'also' led me to believe that he had some reason for bringing that into the discussion. If he didn't, then that's fine.

I admit that I went into this game knowing that it is from the same studio as chaos;head and nothing else (thanks to whoever posted that /a/ thread last week), so I propably expected it to be more like it.

Maybe I should playit again someday and see if I enjoy it the second time...

I thought the main theme was more from the first choice, being to stay with saya regardless of how "inhuman" it was. The part about how easy it is to actually become inhuman felt more like a side part.

>> No.2289268

Guiseppe Mazzini was the leader of romantic Republican nationalism in Italy. He founded the Young Italy Society in 1831 and drove Austria out of northern Italy to establish and Italian republic. He and Guiseppe Garibaldi led insurrections and were deeply involved in the Roman Republic, conducting guerrilla warfare. He believed in economic and material progress rather than romantic ideals.
