1)Pirate the main game, PC version.
1a)If you want the voices, pirate the PS2 version, Realta Nua.
2)Download... *dramatic music* The Installer.
3)Run The Installer, point it to where you'll mount/insert the pirated discs.

Go to /rs/, search for Fate stay/night, look the links with word "disc 1/2/3" in it, download the three links.

Go to mirrormoon, download the Fate Stay/Night patch, install.

Extra: If you want voices, search for Realta Nua and torrent it. The new mirrormoon patch will give you the option to rip those voices from the .iso.

Tools you mainly need:

- WinRAR (if you don't have this, then I don't know why the hell you're in 4chan in the first place)

- Daemon Tools (or whatever program that lets you create a virtual drive you prefer), this is needed to mount the .isos you have downloaded.

I wouldn't insist for no reason.

My lone HD is ridiculously small. And I don't even have the DVD burner. I'm quite sure my CPU would explode if I let it sit for 40 hours. This is life on a budget.

Now, I am still downloading the .iso. And I did delete a whole lot of porn for it. But I want to keep all my options open. Not just for me, but anyone else who doesn't feel like waiting all week for this.

>> No.234362

Actually this shit is gonna be slow no matter what you do. I took a peek inside the installer yesterday and discovered that the sound installer decompresses the audio on the dvds, then recompresses it to ogg vorbis before installing it. Couple that with the time for everything else required, and you have quite a lengthy installation.

>> No.234455

>>234362

Even people with fast CPUs have been taking a while, though. The CPU isn't the bottleneck here for most people, the massive amount of data being handled is, and having the disc image and the install target on the same drive will make it worse.

CPU power isn't really relevent since the vorbis encoder only takes advantage of 1 core. It takes about 7-10 minutes for your average anime epoisode to encode, so this will take quite a long time since theres hours of dialogue that needs to be processed.

>> No.235465

>>233726
This would help a lot. My laptop's USB 2.0 ports are not performing as well as 2.0 ports should, therefore the external hard drive attempt didn't work out so well. It's strange... the installation would start off moderately fast, and then drop down to... say, 1 file every 10 seconds, and never pick up again, at least for hours. 27 thousand files is just a little too much for the hard drive to handle over a few days nonstop, I'd rather not have a busted machine by the end of this.

>> No.235605

Something tells me you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.

>> No.235652

>>235605
I said that because most modern multicore CPUs have about the same clock speed per core. The advancements in CPUs seem to be more cores = bettar. So that doesn't mean a whole lot in this case.

>> No.235721

>>235652
While that is true, as I said previously the voice patch part doesn't even use more than 20% (40% of one 2GHz core) on my X2 3600, and it's not exactly the most powerful CPU.

So unless your PC is 5 years old, or you're using a RAM drive or something like that CPU power shouldn't be a problem.

basically the reason for doing this is they have to code the text to match up with the voice see the clannad patch and since they haven't touched the HF script yet they didn't bother with it and will do it when they are working on HF if they had done the voice for HF the patch would have taken even longer and HF would have taken longer in the long run.
