Unfortunately not. My attempts at putting on some Vocaloid songs on New Year's didn't go too well. I put on the most normie friendly songs and first reaction was "this that anime crap again?" even though the instrumental wasn't anything like anime songs. The presence of a female voice singing Japanese was enough. Even when they said they like the instrumental/composition the complaints were that the voice wasn't real or that you don't understand what's being said, so I resumed the normal program of The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Depeche Mode.

It seems to me that some people just won't listen to:
1. Female voices (Vocaloid doesn't have decent male ones)

It's funny but it's something I haven't really thought about within my own Vocaloid bubble but a lot of people have a preference towards exclusively male voices. If you think about it's really the case where you have whole genres of music with a bias towards male singers. I remember when I was into rock and metal it was considered normal that female voices were just not prevalent and some people just didn't like bands with female leads. Sure you have famous singers like Madonna, Shania Twain, Lady Gaga or Katy Perry but also a whole lot of people who wouldn't be caught dead listening to them and maybe they don't think or realize it but when you look at their favorite artists it's exclusively male ones.

When you look at Japanese pop music it's something of the opposite direction with idols and girl bands and seiyuus doing anime OP/EDs. It's.like the west is about idolizing masculinity while Japan is about femininity. It's why a lot of normies just think of Japanese pop culture as "gay" or "cringe" because it fundamentally offends their masculinity and internal self-image. It's why Kirby in the west has to have a frown on his face because cute things are for girls.

To normies Vocaloid is just more of that "animu waifu idol garbage" no matter the context solely because it's a girl singing. Vocaloid mostly appeals to people who have a thirst for the feminine. Within our own fandom the male characters are often disregarded, disliked and made fun of constantly. I don't know if it's because of the lack of interest and resulting lack of market or it's just a limitation of the software but male Vocaloid voices seem to be rather weak. While we have some decent realistic sounding female ones when it comes to male vocals it's either some squeaky shit or if you try to get a really strong deep voice it's really robotic. Vocaloid will always be so niche, but there's plenty of people that want to bring Miku to a more accessible level for validation purposes imo.

The sjws in the west are more likely to appeal to vocaloid than the npc boomers will, so of course boomers will be put off by vocaloid.
It's very likely that boomers only care to listen to dadrock pleb tier music because of it once was popular at one time and/or use music as a platform to establish social relations and appeal of other people's feelings rather than for the idea of actually enjoying the music itself.

There is merch available but there will probably not be enough. I'd buy glowstick(s) in advance if you don't have VIP tickets (who get early entry). In general I think there's a shortage of Vocaloid songs that are "slow" enough for normalfags. Listen to a top 40 American song and then any popular Vocaloid song, there's a 40bpm difference and the Vocaloid is more rhythmically complicated too.

I used to do that, then I realized that the producers true effort and passion are reflected in the lyrics themselves. No hate on the awesome instrumentals, but theres something great about songs like 'Name of the sin' where the lyrics make the song twice as good. So, most of the time I just watch the subtitles and try to remember the basics of whats being sung. Some songs are fine without translations too, like hibikase.
