How is it possible for Remilia to lock Flandre in the basement for 500 years considering Flan's enormous destructive power?

EoSD was my first Touhou and I'm glad it was. The gameplay and art is pretty solid when compared to the rest of the series. Sure it isn't as polished as the later ones, but it still lots of fun to play.

And trying to 1cc it is much more satisfying than, say, MoF which is a lot easier and you can do it on your 2nd or 3rd try if it isn't your first game. EoSD actually makes you memorize the cards and all that in order to beat it, like SA. In the end, it makes a much more satisfying gameplay experience. Really the only complain I see about the game is that it's graphics are inferior. There is a texture patch for you nitpicking kids out there.

Oh yeah, Flandre does seem to be a little insane from ZUN works, from her profile in the official books it is said that she rarely gets out, and it sounds like she chooses not to.

Are you seriously implying that Imperishable Night and Mountain of Faith are harder then EoSD? Hahahaha. No fucking way. At least not in normal difficulty.

It's what I usually hear. I can't confirm it, until now I've only 1cc'd the games on normal, but I'll get there. For now I'm looking to clear the extra first before moving on to clear the games on hard.

>> No.2269044

>>2269008

Hey, I'm not bitching, I'm just saying it's harder to clear. In fact, I prefer it because it is harder.

Well yeah, I think the spells are harder. Patchouli's (Reimu B) and Sakuya's comes to mind. They aren't super hard but sure are harder then IN's and MoF counterparts. But what makes EoSD harder then the other games for me are the actual stages. For example I consider the library to be harder then any other stage from IN and MoF.

Anyway, sometimes it boils down to preference. Some people have an easier time dodging some specifics spells while others may find them very difficult. Maybe for you the spells and stages from EoSD are just easier, but it might not apply to everyone. And no, the fact that there isn't a hitbox doesn't really hamper the game for me.

Not to mention how strong the divisions are. At the first level, you have "secondary fans" vs. "primary fans", nevermind that fact that people can enjoy both.

And after that, you have a division in each of those categories, which are further subdivided into more categories, which are divided even more...

In the end, what you get is about 5 people in each group that get along with each other, while some groups will only have 1 person that will never, ever be able to discuss Touhou with anyone in /jp/.

No, you moron, but it would be nice to have discussions that don't constantly turn into gigantic shitstorms. It's not some either-or deal here.

I've found stage 4 of EoSD to be one of the longer stages that seems to drag on and on waiting for Patchy to show up. Though fighting Alice 3 times in PCB makes that stage seem longer too.

I feel stage 5 of EoSD is harder because of the red bullets on the red background; FUCK YOU ZUN.

2269107

Flan is a good girl who listens to her older sister.

Remilia, and those who were with her at the time (including a very powerful head maid), were able to overpower Flan and put up a defense grid that Flan could not get though.

Remi poisoned Flan and so for most of her centuries locked up, she was knocked out.

The Remi we know is actually Flan, and she turned the tables on her elder sister, locking her in the basement. Patch, Koakuma, and Sakuya are too new to realize this deception.
Take your pick.

It's hard to give tips because of the random patterns from the green daggers. It kinda boils down to pure dodging skill. Well, at least try not to lose your eye on the blue daggers, green ones seems to stand out more for some reason. Calculate where they will go beforehand, then move accordingly.
