Could anyone fill me in on roughly what the different VN companies focus on for types of games? Just so I know what to in general expect from a certain company.

For example Eushully seem to make a lot of adventure games if I am not completely wrong. TeaTime seem to do a lot of 3D games. Top seem to have done a lot of racing games. I assume Key would be labeled something like sad games or drama or something.

Would be helpful so I know which companies to focus more on depending on my taste.

Alicesoft: RPGs and visual novels.
Softhouse Chara: Simulation games
Xuse: Mostly normal visual novels some some RPGs.
Leaf: Same as Xuse.
Elf: Visual novels, RPGs, dating sims.
Giga (normal division): Visual novels
Giga (with Team Baldrhead): Action games

DDC is pretty decent, not as bad as I thought it would be at first. Not as good as Ruitomo, but Ruitomo really set the bar high for them.

Studio.ego and Alicesoft games are mostly RPG/VN hybrids, often in medieval settings.
Leaf and Circus games are mostly slice of life VNs, and usually are long as fuck.
Axl, Navel and Feng games are as well simply VNs, but unlike Leaf and Circus, their games try to keep the slice of life at minimium and their plot setting diverge from the usual high school love drama.
Propeller and Nitro+ games are usually deep as fuck noir stories though they sacrifice the romance part.

BlackCyc : Used to be dark eroges with very violent (compared to the more popular companies) CGs and rape scenes, and great plots. Don't know about their new stuff since there were some major staff changes.
