He never figured out how to ink and color his drawings digitally in a way that doesn't ruin them. If anything, he became worse at it over time. IN or PCB were quirky but had charm, LoLK just spawned nightmare fuel kanmari edits with its unsettling art. I'm sure ZUN just doesn't acknowledge the issue otherwise he'd have figured out by now.
