Practicing making clothes for when my doll gets here. Should be easier working with the nearly twice as big dollfie since my only model is too small, but this is a real big pain in the butt. Any resources for sewing doll clothes? I have no idea what I'm doing. Any recommendations for commissioning a wig, and either a faceup or just the eyes? And probably over sized bust clothes when I inevitably give up on that. I'm googling and gonna message random stores on etsy, but some leads would be nice. I know of those two nips on Yahoo that sell big bust clothes. I'm gonna try to put together a Uni.

Oh lol! That just manufactured wear-n-tear on those shorts. Speaking of which, even though those are basically perfect as itself, those shorts won't work for Hilda. I need HOTPANTS. So I ordered some cheap ones on Ebay that I won't hesitate to cut off.

The outfit isn't that complicated to make outside giving the cups shape which is a problem for any outfit, no idea if I'll be able to make it look good. Missing the top layer of the skirt with the cutout, which is simpler than the pleats. Buying dolls on a payment plan has been very helpful for me personally. I know getting dogs secondhand is a meme in this board but you can pay off customized dolls in the west that you can pay off that way as well. You'll find that a lot of people in this hobby, resin and vinyl both, are just as poorfag as the rest of us -- don't be afraid to ask about their flexibility.

Related: I'm finally paying off a Miku at the end of the month, just finished paying off SmD Ebony, still paying off Kanu and another DD, and I just started a plan on another SmD -- it's definitely something I have to budget for, but what matters is that it's doable and I'm getting the dolls I want without living off cabbage and beans.

Finding someone to buy plasma can be tricky depending on where you live, no one buys blood. Semen can be fairly lucrative if you pass the stringent tests to provide it, but the schedule can be demanding and in 20 years people can track you down and potentially try to form a relationship with you for fathering them by proxy, which is not my cup of tea personally.

If femanon, selling your eggs can be truly lucrative, but the fertility drugs you have to take beforehand are no fucking joke and can leave permanent side-effects after the fact, in addition to the fact that donating eggs is a real surgery.

Kidneys are stable at around 10k, but it's not worth it given the conditions of harvest.

If you have long hair you can still get a few hundred bucks for it, virgin hair (untreated) preferred. Switch to sulfate-free shampoos and silicon/e-free conditioners a month before harvest to increase value.

Medical trials still pay decently if there are any in your area, caveat emptor the fucking side-effects, pray you wind up in the placebo.

Prostitution is still illegal in most states (idk international laws) and has a lot of risks, but you can make a fair bit as a side hustle if you're safe and savvy. Flipping shit on ebay's generally a better idea though.

For these types of problems you need to sort it out with the merchant, aka Volks. Paypal is just a payment processor, other than the fact they have direct access to your bank account they're not too different from the companies that operate retail point of sale machines. Volks and pretty much any merchant will have a process to correct these mistakes (void, refund etc.) Failing that then you'd then go through paypal, or eventually your bank. Also, I you're using a credit card and not a debit card. If shit went horribly wrong the bank is more motivated to get the money back since the money spent is technically theirs until you're issued a statement.

And the ones for 55/60cm bodies:
https://paraboxshop.jp/index_en_jpy_133-141.html

If you don't want a realistic-ish head, only the 47/50cm options would be good. However, those heads may be too small. Be careful, anon.

Last case, if your DD body is a 43cm Mini Dollfie Dream. In that case, the heads for 40/45cm bodies are your only options:
https://paraboxshop.jp/index_en_jpy_133-139.html

For the prices those hand-painted heads still go for, take care in choosing the right one.

This will be a second chance for many.

Got my Rin last year for 80K yen plus shipping from Mandarake. Counting the fact that my DD Miku from Volks had cost me 100$ more due to Canadian customs last June, I'm glad I didn't wait for Rin. However, Rin is now 100K yen at Mandarake so Volks USA will be the best option for everyone.

I messed up the wig BADLY. It must remain curly for the character though so I'll have to tone down the frizzes. Once she have her hat on, the messy hair will be less apparent. Ideally, she's need a with twice the hair but for now, this default wig will do.

As for the vest, I'm going to fix it with a wire. I'll go to a pro seamstress to have her fold the fabric seam over the steel wire and sew that on. It will shorten the vest and I'll be able to literally bend it to my will! Making the vest either form fitting or floaty as I wish. It's size will also be reduced to what it should be.

All the parts are coming along nicely except for the bag. That bag cost 50$US at Etsy but it's the wrong kind. For how beautiful it is and the price I paid, I just don't have the heart to mod it.

The same bag maker have what will be a not too-accurate but still the right style of bag at

https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/726354215/messenger-bag-for-bjd-13-sized

Unfortunately, it will take weeks or for the maker to have the fuchsia material back in stock. So in the meantime, my DD Hatsune Miku will have that bag. There's also a whole change of clothes for her coming soon. Miku will be hip and cool, all because she'll get Hilda's first shorts and bag.

As for Rin, I'm eying a DDS clothes set at Mandarake. I'm broke for now so that will have to wait.

Forgot to tell, Hilda will have a 9" Tepig plushie as a companion, won off Ebay for 10$CAN shipped. Last problem is to find a Pokeball that will fit in her hand. Guess I'll have to build it from scratch.

About as trustworthy as anything else honestly, some things can take a billion years to come in, but overall I've had more hits than misses regarding purchases and quality of things. For things like furniture and other generic items, it's pretty alright.

Thrift stores and other out-of-the-way places can hold surprising options for doll shit. Sometimes you find absolutely nothing, and other times you find a trove of great things for your dolls to wear or interact with -- people who collect the 1/6 scale have it best with all the Barbie/MH/Bratz shit floating around.

Keep an eye out and you'll find something sooner or later!
