The choice between DS and PSP comes down to your preferences. What would you like to play the most? Do you need a portable media player? And most important of all, how much do you care about graphics?
I have both to satiate my needs, and the CPU prowess is definitely the biggest difference. DS is pathetic in comparison, but it compensates with a lot of fun games, and that's the point of it all in the end.
PSP has a lot of great games as well, and enough processor to handle almost anything. SNES, GBA, N64 and PS1 can be played on it.

One last thing. Whatever you choose, please read up and research well on flashing and cracking methods for each, arm yourself with knowledge. Nothing worse than getting the wrong PSP model and find out that you can now only play original games. Shit sucks.

360 modchips were pretty crappy the last time I checked, but that was a while ago. I'll look into them again. But I'll use whatever is the cheapest method for bootlegging games.

That said, the DS has much better games than the PSP, but I'll still be buying a PSP soon for the obvious reasons. Emulation is pretty great for the DS, so I won't be buying that.

DS has PW, and it's so fucking easy to pirate.
