I was thinking about why Lingji wasn't able to block the punch. Of course it's possible that bad dad somehow upgraded Miyao's gauntlet to break through her shield, or that he hacked her gauntlet to turn it off (though blue Miyao makes it sound like this isn't the case), but maybe another possibility is that her shield was suddenly depleted by something else, like say if she were shot in the back.

Things have been much higher level since RGD, with politics and military stuff taking a front seat. This is the stuff I think he does worst, and it weakens the experience from top to bottom. Higurashi Rei is important and should be considered part of the main story, although it consists of two joke arcs and an epilogue arc. You may skip the other two, but Saikoroshi is a must read and anyone who finishes Higurashi without reading it is missing out on the actual conclusion to the story.

Higurashi Hou is a collection two/three weird side arcs and Hinamizawa Bus Stop (a beta version of Higurashi that basically spoils the entire plot in the span of 2 hours and is actually pretty fascinating to read). I like it a lot.

That's all there is. Nothing more. It's just like 4 lighthearted side episodes, an epilogue to the main story, and a beta version of Higurashi. Just 6 side arcs.

All the other side arcs that give Higurashi that reputation are console exclusive (meaning shitty sprites and backgrounds), NOT written by Ryuukishi and pretty damn edgy to the point of being ridiculous sometimes. There is good stuff there, but not much. It's not canon anyway.

The only side story I like (not counting Rei and Hou) is the one with Natsumi, which was originally a manga, so I recommend that one. It seems Ryuukishi was actually involved with its creation and Natsumi even appeared in Higurashi Daybreak as a playable characters. Since the original PC version, over characters like Satoshi. So she's pretty beloved at 07thExpansion.

Ryuukishi is really stepping up his loli game. Higurashi wasn't that remarkable outside Satoko, who was super lewd. Umineko was kind of a step down, because Maria and Ange were really cute but not really lewd (too autistic and too young respectively). Stan has obvious mentions that following orders is something soldiers must do, yet also mentions that martyrdom is bad. This is contradictory and it's hard to know which he advocates.

Rethabile is mentioned as a worthless princess, lacking any talent that only has anything of worth because she went through a 1.7 billion training program. She also dates men merely to show off, meaning she wants the attention of others and does not seem to uphold any values of her own. However, she does seem to uphold responsibility, regardless of her lack of talent. Accepting to choose is a prerequisite to accepting to think. If you don't continually think, you die.

Ishak is a genius and leader, he values living yet he also has a mention to Rethabile that they should stop choosing and leave their fate to someone else. This is embracing apathy which is death.

Lingji upholds traditionalist values of family yet she also has the same Gauntlet as those blue girls at the end of Phase 1. She also says that her enemy isn't Miyao so it could be a red herring that she's the spy merely because of that Gauntlet.

Noor looks very similar to one of the blue crystal girl. I haven't found anything of importance on Noor.

With Noor, I have nothing, so I haven't passed judgment on her. Mariana mentioned that she loves Gaunet whenever she's cute. She's not the spy. Gannet is hyper-emotional with her friends because she values them. That removes her from being the spy.

That's the equivalent of saying 'of course Ryukishi foreshadowed everything but he gave more hints and then later revealed the culprit'. Like, no shit, but my point is that the foreshadowing is still there. Telling me that my examples are weak when Sujatha barely has any lines for me to work with is undercutting the methodology of logic itself.
The reasoning with Sujatha is
1- The monologue narration would not be a lie because it makes no sense to lie her to herself to trick the audience since there is no meta.
2- You can read monologues of the spies a few time without knowing their face, meaning that monologue narrations are truthful regardless of whether a character is a spy or not.
3- Not everyone has monologue narration. And the few times they happen must not be ignored.

I'm currently going through the VN again to make sure I have every possible line of dialogue of character valuing something or loving anything.

The Gold truth can represent either something only the gamemaster can use or it represents a collective agreement of truth among a group of individuals, regardless of whether it adheres to reality (the candy appeared by magic for example).
