Touhou music being plagiarized in 2019:
Looks like Shibayan isn't happy with what's happening

Pastebin by Anon in the last thread: http://rentry.co/rmwgo

tl;dr, if you've always wanted to rake in profit for the least amount of effort, Shibayan is offering his entire library of free tracks to sample, which you can then splice with the dumbest new meme and then sell at spotify and whatever else you want.

The window is short. Take advantage of this great opportunity. A 17 year old can do it, you have no excuse.

I don't even know why there's another thread made about this so soon when the tweets making it pretty clear he's tired of having to deal with foreigners, and if ZUN doesn't step in there's really no point to any of this. The faggots blew it up.
Instead of trying to be modest in convincing him they harrased Shibayan because they're too buttblasted over some kid and now he's sided with the thief.
Now I feel bad because I didn't say anything when someone said he want to go full autism on the last thread, if they are even the same guy. If this is partly our doing then we have to live up as another group of retards in the community.

The only new developments in this are Shibayan saying that he's tired of replying to dumb gaijins (something that could either refer to anons spamming him, which is unlikely because there was only one person who dared to contact him in the entire last week-long threads, or to people in general in either side of this case) and deadman's twitter going poof (who knows if he deleted it himself or if his account was suspended). >>22036958 happened all the way back at the start of this whole drama so it doesn't say much at this point.

That particular videos links to the original song which properly credits Shibayan for writing the song. In our current case, some nameless guy copy pasted Shibayan's song, did what any 5 year old could do which was copy paste drum beat and a quote from hokuto no ken and then claimed that the song was his. He licensed a song that someone else made. This is a literal attack on the doujin circle. I am completely baffled as to why there isn't any lawsuit it would be such an easy victory.

Of these 3 parts, the drum beats

You guys may have heard of deadman, the guy who "remixed" and licensed a Touhou song from Shibayan Records called Tiny Little Adiantum to a commercial music publisher named United Masters. The name of the remix is deadman 死人 - Omae Wa Mou by the way

Deadman's remix by the way is essentially adding in the trademarked catchphrase of Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star "Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru" and a simple drum beat loop while modifying nothing else from the original Tiny Little Adiantum song.

Apparently, this guy never heard of copyright infringement because checking out his youtube channel, you have to wonder the balls of this guy to "sample" music from Undertale and even Evangelion and under the video description, mention if you want to purchase the "beat", please message him.

Lil Boom x Undertale Type Beat - "071" (prod. deadman 死人): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IndxqmEkVqw [Embed]

Lil Boom x Undertale Type Beat - "Reunited" (prod. deadman 死人): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yOFhM-9h2r8 [Embed]

Lil Boom x Undertale Type Beat - "Uwa!!" (prod. deadman 死人): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlcY_3YW4X8 [Embed]

Seave x Neon Genesis Evangelion Type Beat - "To The Moon" (prod. deadman 死人): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYmuQiDJTeI [Embed]

Doesn't this go against Toby Fox's copyright terms of use and guidelines when it comes to Undertale:

https://undertale.tumblr.com/post/139726155020/changing-policy-on-fan-merch

>- Please don’t use any sound effects from the game or samples from the original songs.

>> No.22042768

>>22042562
Yeah that would be that Rolling Stone article. The Rolling Stone is worth shit nowadays imho. I've been following this a lot today. It's cool that Shibayan's happy I guess but he only gave permission for remixes of his own songs. He didn't (and can't) give permission to license anything but I guess lil boom/deadman don't need permissions to sign illegal licenses, and I guess it's okay for that label (cant remember its name) to propose and sign illegal licenses without doing any proper backup checks.
They probably have no idea how many of other people's works deadman has been illegally ripping off, and if ZUN doesn't do anything -- which is possible and very likely -- KADOKAWA and others whose stuff he has been consistently plariarizing will eventually.
The bigger the balloon grows, the louder it's gonna pop.

>> No.22042987

>>22042768
I wouldn't be surprised if the label paid Rolling Stone to publish that article. Makes others who don't already know about the situation sympathize with deadman and lil boom. While the plagiarism is something to feel unjustified about, in the end they're just dumb kids who wanted to make easy money. There's really not much that can be done with the situation on our end and imo not worth pursuing in ZUN/Shibayan eyes. I'm keepin tabs on it in hopes it'd get taken down eventually, but that's highly unlikely.

It’s a bit off topic but...
I googled ‘type beat’ and find this article:

>A Type Beat is an instrumental song, purposely matching patterns of already existing songs, using the usual types of BPM, drum sounds and song structure, to be easy to suit a rapper.
>Type Beats are usually uploaded on YouTube for display and promotion, and on the beatmakers’ websites for sale, or on platforms made for this.
I hate to say this but it’s a gray area kind of like doujin.
The point is that obscure creators have been making and selling their type beats in the past few years, why’s deadman the first one getting copyright issue?

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/the-worst-best-day-of-my-life-how-a-song-went-viral-then-suddenly-disappeared-871991/

The rolling stone articles in this thread mentioned type beaters have gotten into legal trouble.

>Strange as “Omae Wa Mou”‘s story is, the track sits squarely at the intersection of two trends in modern pop. Cheap technology and beat-sale sites make it easier than ever for an unknown artist to obtain an instrumental with an ear-catching sample. At the same time, the hit-making apparatus in 2019 moves with such speed and ferocity that young artists are often forced to obtain legal clearance for those samples at the same time as their singles rocket up the charts (Juice WRLD and Lil Nas X both ran into this problem).

>Although he praised Juice WRLD for the beautiful interpretation of his smash record "Shape of My Heart," iconic rock-n-roll singer Sting sued the budding superstar and won a massive amount of royalties for Juice interpolating the song on "Lucid Dreams.”

>Lil Nas X, the rapper who shot to fame this year with the blockbuster “Old Town Road,” has been sued by a California music publisher for $25 million for allegedly stealing from a 1982 Bobby Caldwell song for another of his songs.

>In a complaint filed on Wednesday, The Music Force LLC said Lil Nas X borrowed without permission from Caldwell’s R&B song “Carry On” for his own song with the same title, which he then posted to YouTube and streaming platforms such as Spotify and SoundCloud.

>The plaintiff also sued Lil Nas X’s new record label, Sony Music, saying it chose not to properly vet the 20-year-old’s music because it was “far more important” to preserve the chance to generate millions of dollars of revenue from his career.

There is no gray area you like claim for these Type Beaters. They are getting sued and losing in court.

Rolling Stone article was written very badly.

An instrumental contains no vocals by its very definition.

Deadman's remix still contains the vocals of Touhou doujin singer, 3L, and not only that but the catchphrase of Kenshiro.

This dumbass Rolling Stone writer still called Deadman's remix an instrumental, anyway.

You can try to defend Deadman all you want but even if Shibayan says it is okay to sample, we do not know the business relationship Shibayan has with the vocalist 3L, and if she ever intended her voice to be licensed outside the Touhou fandom and outside of Japan.

Not only that but it appears that an artist that goes by the name Shayne Orok has been
selling tracks that are covers of deadman 死人 - Omae Wa Mou, which, itself, is a remix of Shibayan Records' Tiny Little Adiantum, which,
itself, is a derivative of ZUN's original composition, Gensokyo, Past and Present ~ Flower Land, on several different commercial platforms through their music distributor,

1) https://kourindou.exblog.jp/14218252/

Never has such a legal nightmare been presented before ZUN's Terms of Use and Guidelines for Touhou Project Copyright ever since he created it. I would say it is equally as bad as the time a complete stranger managed to trademark Touhou Project and Team Shanghai Alice without ZUN's knowledge until it was too late to stop it because ZUN was not notified in time.

However, that Touhou trademark battle occurred only in Japan. This time's battle involves Touhou Project Copyright and possible copyright infringement involving Touhou Project on a global scale, involving several countries around the world that include China, India, Russia, and even Japan, itself.

And it doesn't stop at commercial digital music platforms like Spotify but Touhou Project music being broadcasted on commercial radio stations around the world that include even Germany and not just solely within the boundaries of America.

This legal nightmare challenges the very existence of ZUN's Touhou Project Copyright Guidelines and may create a negative legal precedent that strikes at the very existence and core of Touhou Project's community if ZUN does not quickly act to protect his Touhou Project and the community he helped, fostered.

Legal actions arent necessary here, just deserved.

1) JioSaavn: JioSaavn is the online music streaming service and a digital distributor of Bollywood, English and other regional Indian music across the world.

2) QQ Music: QQ Music is one of the three Chinese freemium music streaming service owned by Tencent Music, a joint venture between Tencent and Spotify. As of 2018, the service is set to reach over 700 million users with an estimated 120 million subscribers.

3) Yandex Music is a music streaming service developed by Yandex, a Russian multinational corporation specializing in Internet-related products and services, including search and information services, eCommerce, transportation, navigation, mobile applications, and online advertising.

If enough citizens in China, India, and Russia buy these "unauthorized by ZUN" music tracks from Deadman and Lil Boom, the two individuals have a very high chance of becoming millionaires overnight from commercializing Touhou Project intellectual property without ZUN's permission. Such success could create Deadman and Lil Boom copycats as they now see Touhou Project as ripe for commercial exploitation at the expense of the heart and soul of Touhou Project and its community and fans.

Anons saying this are doomsayers but if we're going to be brutally honest here, it's a pretty bad thing whenever someone rips a song without person. Using samples is a pretty big part of music, but its just that; samples. Parts of a song. Far as I can tell this is pretty much just a straight rip of another song, which is kinda against that. But the problem really comes from something simple.

Popularity. Vanilla Ice got away pretty clean with just ripping the beat from Under Pressure, simply because his song was relatively popular. They settled out of court and he paid a fraction of the money he made, and this was one big name in the music industry versus living legends. The fact that he didn't go bankrupt after that says it all; even the people who are in the right can still not even be able to take it to court, even if they're leagues larger than the person stealing their work. And these are two english speakers, how far does anyone here think Shibayan will get in a legal system? I say he wouldn't even get far enough to get an out of court settlement, because that groups a foreign literal no one compared to this kid. It's not going to kill the doujin scene, but it's a pretty decent hit because it can set a precedent of just steal foreign work wholesale and just get away with it. Because what can they do? Spend money they don't have to hire a translator, money they don't have to get housing if they have to fly over, money they don't have to get a lawyer, and money they don't have to keep going through the cancerous legal systems of what I'm assuming is America for months on end?

They sell CDs at comiket. Versus the kid getting a signing with companies and making thousands right out the gate, thousands more than Shibayan already makes. It's just not a good look, but as a million other anons have said there's nothing anyone here can do beyond wait for ZUN to do something since Shibayan's group already knows.

Deadman is bragging he got 10, 250, 033 streams for his shitty half assed remix

And holy fuck, we now know the reason why Deadman temporarily deleted his twitter account! He was afraid of the tweets of people calling him a thief were going to be found out by COLUMBIA RECORDS so he deleted the social media account where he was rightfully being called a thief.

Deadman's instagram shows him bragging about being invited by Columbia Records. This guy is not showing any forgiveness or penance. It wasn't enough illegally licensing to United Masters but he is now trying to make a deal with Columbia Records.

The woman who invited him to Columbia Records is Jessica Strassman, A&R for @columbiarecords.

https://twitter.com/jessicasassman?lang=en

https://www.instagram.com/jessicastrassman/

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artists_and_repertoire

>Artists and repertoire (A&R) is the division of a record label or music publishing company that is responsible for talent scouting and overseeing the artistic development of recording artists and songwriters.[1] It also acts as a liaison between artists and the record label or publishing company; every activity involving artists to the point of album release is generally considered under the purview, and responsibility, of A&R.

This plagiarizing piece of shit really doesn't care about his constant copyright infringing and illegal licensing and Columbia Record's scout doesn't even notice all the plagiarism?

Deadman even ripped the entire ending song of an animated hentai titled "Tinderbox" which had only 2 episodes, added Kenshiro's catchphrase and a simple drum beat, and then uploaded onto his channel and also says people who want to purchase this "remix" to please message him at his gmail address.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GufKcg84mKo

He's even willing to steal from animated hentai soundtracks. I know most people who watch hentai never bother watching the ending credits but most hentai fans will at least recognize hentai EDs even if they are not as mainstream as normal anime OPs and EDs. I remember people on 4chan are quite found of soundtracks from AliceSoft and the Asagi Series. Anyways, yeah, this guy just ripped Tinderbox Hentai ED and then suddenly gained around 180 thousand views and he dares to sell the "beat" he created.

I seen google search results reveal DLsite or Getchu sometimes gets google to censor hentai links but like you think this particular upload from Deadman will get claimed by DLsite? Getchu?

Delving deeper, Tinderbox Hentai was from Queen Bee, part of Media Bank.

https://www.mediabank.co.jp/label.php?id=22

If he is already ripping animated hentai soundtracks, it is only a matter of time he starts checking out soundtracks from visual novels to steal. If you check his YouTube channel, Deadman entirely ripped Minecraft music, Runescape music, a SpongeBob Squarepants song: Gary Come Home, Bleach - Ending 2 : Thank You!! song, Undertale music, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders OST - Fire Shaman, Lisa Ono (小野リサ, Ono Risa, born July 29, 1962), a popular Japanese-Brazilian bossa nova singer.

So, basically Microsoft, Jagex, Nickelodeon, Shueisha, some Japanese woman born from Brazil, will be involved with this guy in the future as well.

1. Adding a lazy beat over a song is hardly "sampling"
2. You're going against ZUN's guidelines for distributing Touhou music.
3. You've been illegally ripping music from other countless sources as seen on your YouTube channel.

We thought that Shibayan's permission was enough. Along with this, make sure to check in with Sille, lastclass, and Alobe to make sure they've followed ZUN's guidelines. And to wrap it up, sampling is one of the most common practices in the type beat landscape.

Adding a beat over a song isn't the same as sampling. Anyone who does that crap is lazy. And it's funny how you were all too happy to start selling your shit everywhere right off the bat and only started to ask for permission after you got caught.

All of that information could easily be found two seconds on Google. And if you really couldn't find it, then you shouldn't have tried to commercialize it in the first place until you got all that crap sorted out.

>Deadman doesn't seem to understand that sampling always requires legal clearance and that Kanye West has gotten sued plenty of times for sampling without legal clearance and has lost many times when he got sued but unlike Deadman, Kanye can afford lawyers.

>Just google search "Kanye West sample lawsuit". Kanye West has lost many times and paid out thousands of dollars to the plaintiffs.

I guess we can now see why Deadman doesn't seem to understand why people call him a thief. His idol seems to be Kanye West after all.

There is so much retarded with this post I don't know where to begin.
>Between Cannonball and that, I feel like this might be the end of the doujin spirit for Touhou.
Cannonball isnt even an official game and will have light gacha at best. ZUN is only giving some guidance to the project to do his best in making sure it isn't a typical scummy gacha game. Not to mention a big part of Cannonball is letting doujin circles contribute art, music, etc. to the game. I know its actually a minority of people even on this board but the mindset of "Mobile game bad, Touhou ruined" needs to fucking stop already.
>Maybe I should jump off the boat before normalfags ruin everything.
This kinda reminds me of how some people reacted to when ZUN started putting his games and allowing fangames on Steam. Touhou is already mainstream and already infected with normies. If Touhou no longer being "obscure" or "niche" (which it hasn't been for a while) is enough to make you leave then you weren't much of a fan to being with.
>I really feel like this is a betrayal from ZUN and Shibayan.
Fuckin how? In terms of Cannoball, allowing mobile games was inevitable due to how much the Japanese love them. Japanese fans are looking forward to it, so even if you aren't its not like the game is being made with you in mind anyway. In terms of this whole debacle, you cannot seriously tell me that you're going to begrudge ZUN for not doing anything when he probably isn't even aware of the situation and/or doesn't understand what exactly is going on. Same for Shibayan. Shibayan also probably wasn't aware of the weight the decision to let them use the song had and even still might not understand just how out of control it has gotten. Regardless though, the Japanese fanbase doesn't seem to really care because a Touhou thing became popular and they're happy with that. They obviously aren't aware that almost everyone listening isn't aware its a Touhou remix to begin with, which is unfortunate. Still, it should give you an idea of the general mindset that the Japanese fanbase has. They just want to see Touhou flourish.
>What's gonna be the new doujin sensation?
Fate. Which, by the way, is also very mainstream and commercialized to hell. Doujin has changed my dude. If anything was going to kill Touhou, it would be ZUN ignoring the changing landscape.

>>22078684
When there is a language barrier and the goons are using google translate to communicate how can we even be sure that Shibayan understood everything to being with? And even if Shibayan was shortsighted the demonizing needs to stop.
>may cause other groups to go underground because they don't want to be taken advantage of like Shibayan Records.
Why? The Japanese literally don't care dude. Something that everyone in this thread keeps forgetting. A Touhou song getting remixed and becoming popular in the west is not going to influence circle at all (if anything in might encourage them). If, for some reason, theft of Touhou doujin music did ramp of from this (which is actually pretty doubtful, given the lightning in a bottle this situation was), doujin circles and ZUN would absolutely start doing something about it. As of right now its a tempest in a teapot and everyone should just chill out.

Sorry, ZUN has no right to sue deadman and deadman doesn't need to follw touhou's rules.
This is how copyright works: if someone use your work in his own work with your permission and following your rule, then you hold the right of the specific part he use your works and the rest belongs to him (which means he can license it as long as it's not against your deal).

The inter was the only part that Shibayan used yuuka's theme (which ZUN hold his right) but deadman didn't sample it.
Picture related is the copyright status of these two song (Assuming Shibayan, milka, 3L hold their right separately).

Although, deadman already got Shibayan's permission but whoever use Omae Wa Mou (like lil boom) still needs to follows ShibayanRecords's rule since they still hold the right of it.

Apparently, the music distribution of Deadman and Lil Boom's Tiny Little Adiantum remixes is not stopping. Deadman and Lil Boom's Tiny Little Adiantum remixes now appears for sale in Taiwan from a Taiwanese music streaming service but then you read the basic company description of KKBox and your heart sinks:

KKBox, stylised as KKBOX is a music streaming service developed by KKBox Inc., a software company in Taipei, Taiwan from 2004. It is a part of Japanese Telecom Group, KDDI. The service area mainly targeting the music market of Southeast Asia, focusing on regions including: Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.

Permission to sample is not the same thing as permission to license though. You need to get written legal permissions from all copyright holders involved. Lawyers are usually involved with this.

Shibayan kinda did. If he just maintained the copyright strike against them, Deadman and Lil Boom would not have immediately sold their Tiny Little Adiantum to UnitedMasters.

There is a reason why Toby Fox of Undertale eventually released copyright guidelines when pretty much he was trying to be even more lenient than ZUN but it backfired because American fanbases are less respectful than Japanese fanbases and their greediness caused Toby Fox to finally release copyright guidelines for Undertale back in 2016.

It feels like Shibayan underestimated Deadman and Lil Boom and how far the two were willing to commercialize and did not do enough research by checking their YouTube channels for example and realize Deadman and Lil Boom, appear to have a history of copyright infringement and long time due for a channel termination by Youtube, and it would be best to just not associate with those people at all and politely decline their appeals against their copyright strike.

I honestly think we should panic. This entire situation is starting to remind me of Harmony Gold: Robotech/ Macross clustefuck that also includes Studio Nue, Big West, and Tatsunoko.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harmony_Gold_USA

Studio Nue, Big West, and Tatsunoko hate each other so much due to this Harmony Gold clusterfuck that Tatsunoko gave a middle finger to everyone by extending Harmony Gold's license of the Macross franchise because Big West won their last lawsuit against Tatsunoko.

Even Japan was shocked that Harmony Gold somehow got to extend its license on Macross/Robotech, especially Hidetaka Tenjin.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidetaka_Tenjin

>Hidetaka Tenjin (天神 英貴 Tenjin Hidetaka, born 1973) is a Japanese mecha anime artist and science fiction illustrator.

>He established the Tenjin Studio Ltd. where he began working on plastic model box art, video game software and DVD cover art, illustrations, etc., the best known being in the Hasegawa Macross series, the Bandai MG Gundam series, Konami's Gradius V videogame, Space Battleship Yamato Fact File illustrations, etc.

>Tenjin Hidetaka has also worked as an animation artist in several sci-fi anime productions like Macross Zero, Sousei no Aquarion, Gundam Evolve, Macross Frontier and Macross Delta

https://twitter.com/TENJIN_hidetaka/status/1147418895562625025

I'm legitimately and genuinely afraid Deadman, Lil Boom, and UnitedMasters end up becoming the Harmony Gold for the Touhou Community/Fandom. No joke. And it all happened because Shibayan Records acted as retarded as the Macross producers when dealing with Americans aka Harmony Gold for the first time and fucked over the Macross franchise for the past several decades and even now into the future.

>In November 2016, Harmony Gold initiated arbitration against Tatsunoko, to which Tatsunoko responded with counterclaims.[23] With the exception of the original visual depictions of 41 characters, which are owned by Big West Advertising not Tatsunoko, the arbitrator found that Harmony Gold had the rights to Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber MOSPEADA until their expiry on March 14, 2021, as per the licensing agreement. Harmony Gold also holds several trademarks related to Macross and its trademark for the Macross series was renewed on December 26, 2012. The expiration date for these was set to take place ten years from that date, on December 26, 2022.[24]

>On July 5, 2019, Harmony Gold confirmed that their license with Tatsunoko had been renewed again, extending their ownership of the Macross franchise's co-copyright past the original 2021 expiration date. While a specific number of years wasn't given for the length of this extension, Harmony Gold chairman Frank Agrama stated that the company will "look forward to the next 35 years of working with Tatsunoko and world class business partners on Robotech.

Imagine Deadman, Lil Boom, and United Masters blocking a Touhou product in America or any place outside Japan just like Harmony Gold does with Macross all because Shibayan Records went full sympathetic retard toward people he thought were fellow Touhou fans who understand and respect ZUN's copyright guidelines except Deadman and Lil Boom don't even know Japanese or ever heard of Touhou Project until they copystriked Shibayan Records and many Touhou fans' videos on Youtube and earned the hatred of the Touhou fandom.

Also, not the first time Americans took advantage of the Japanese.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asics

>Nike, Inc., originally known as Blue Ribbon Sports, was founded to sell Onitsuka Tiger shoes in the US. When Phil Knight visited Japan in 1963 shortly after he graduated from Stanford University, he was impressed by Onitsuka Tiger shoes with their high quality but reasonable prices. He immediately visited the Onitsuka Tiger office and asked to be their sales agent in the USA.[10] After a number of years, their relationship crumbled and both companies sued each other, with Nike retaining the naming rights to several shoes.

Imagine getting sued by the American sales agents you hired and he plagiarized your shoe designs and you couldn't drag out the battle in court to appeals court because it was costing you time and money to battle this backstabbing American outside Japan.

There's no doubt that the situation is shitty, and that these niggers deserve to get my massive 25 cm dick in the asscrack as a lesson. But you retards who think that the doujin scene is dead, or whatever you keep being autistic about, should just fuck off as well.

Jesus, I agree there's no need to doompost or sperg about the situation
But I am really mad for what those brats are doing, I want to see their sorry asses dragged to court and forced to refund more money than what they can even earn in their whole life.

>Permission to sample is not the same thing as permission to license though.
By default, they are the same thing unless you make a statement like what disney did "all copyright must be transferred to our company or your license to create a secondary work using our property will be void."
A tweet ,a blog post or a youtube comment has the same legal effect as a contract as long as it explain the conditions clear enough.
That being said, I do agree deadman didn't permissions from all copyright holders involved. he should have contacted 3L, milka, the animation company made fist of the north star and even the author of non non biyuri's renge.

deaman and lil boom can copyright their songs as long as they clear the copyright.
However, they only own what their made originally.
Deadman owns his recording, beats and the specific way of sampling Tiny Little Adiantum (maybe, I'm not sure if it's unique enough to claim copyright.)
Lil boom owns his recording and rap lyrics.
The rest belongs to the original creaters. When someone uses or remixes Already dead, he or she still needs to follow Shibayan's rules.

I just checked Shibayan's youtube comment and he pretty much said to also follow ZUN's guidelines so if even Shibayan, himself, is telling people to follow ZUN's rules, what does that mean for Deadman and Lil Boom?

The fact remains Deadman and Lil Boom put up their remixes for sales on sites like Amazon despite not getting permission from all copyright holders and don't even have the decency to take everything down until they do get permission. It's not like they are telling possible customers from all over the world to not buy their remixes until they solve all legal problems.

Also, just check Deadman's YouTube channel. Taking from Shibayan Records is not some rare occurrence from his behavior. I can see ripping or sampling from Undertale music, Runescape music, Minecraft music, Spongebob Squarepants (Gary Come Home), Bleach anime (Bleach ED 2: Thank You from Home Made Kazoku), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders OST (Fire Shaman) , Evangelion's version of "Fly me to the Moon" which was used as its ED, Bakemonogatari anime (Bakemonogatari OP 1: Staple Stable), a Japanese Brazilian singer named Lisa Ono who released a song named "Menina Flor" back in 1993; a Malaysian singer named Joyce Chu who sang "I Miss You", Nintendo Wii Music ( Mii Channel Full Arrangement ), etc. It's highly doubtful all these Japanese and Western companies gave legal clearance for Deadman to sample their intellectual property and these are not obscure companies but big names like Microsoft (Minecraft), Nickelodeon (Spongebob), Viz Media (Bleach, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure), Crunchyroll (most anime properties), Aniplex of America (Bakemonogatari), Khara and King Records Japan (Evangelion), Nintendo (Mii Channel Music by Kazumi Totaka ), etc

It's a wonder Deadman's Youtube channel has not been terminated yet by Youtube or by multiple copyright strikes from right holders. And he still has the balls to call himself a producer.

Seems there is actually an earlier interview than Rolling Stone, online, so Deadman actually got interviewed back in 2017 and Rolling Stone's 2019 interview was not his first time interview.

https://curatedflame.com/2017/12/23/beats-interview-with-hip-hop-producer-deadman/

>What is something about you people would be surprised to know?
>Even though I use one a quote from an anime as a my producer tag, I really don’t find myself watching too much anime.

>What do your beats normally cost?
>It honestly depends on how good I find them to be. While one beat could be $5, another could be upwards of $50. It just depends.

>What is the most you have made from one beat?
>About $10.

>Do you use Hardware or software?
>I use a pirated version of FL Studio 12 to produce my music.

>How many leases or beats, do you think you have sold in your career?
>I’ve sold 1 beat so far.

>what are your plans for 2018?
To work hard and continue producing until I get where I wanna be career wise.

Reminder, according to Rolling Stone, Deadman "put “Omae Wa Mou” up for sale on September 22, 2017 as a “Lil Boom x anime”-type beat. Roughly three months later, the actual Lil Boom —... — bought the beat for $25. He turned it into a song titled “Already Dead.”

https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/the-worst-best-day-of-my-life-how-a-song-went-viral-then-suddenly-disappeared-871991/

So Deadman's "remix" or "beat" he made from Shibayan Records' Tiny Little Adiantum was only worth $25 based on Deadman's estimation of how good "Tiny Little Adiantum" was. Based on his old 2017 interview, Deadman considers his best "beats" to be worth $50 or more so the fact he thought his "Tiny Little Adiantum" beat was worth just $25, shows he actually thought his "Omae wa Mou" was just average which is why that nauseating interview Deadman did with Rolling Stone in 2019, shows how that "affection" Deadman was claiming for Shibayan Records was pretty much manufactured.

Im amazed and at the same time deeply annoyed that there is a new general over fucking nothing and is basically half a dozen or maybe less people building a fucking mountain out of a small speck of dust. This is retarded and autistic. Do you cunts really have so much free time to be so autistic here of all fucking places? Why not go shit up some other board with your crap. No even in /a/ can you find such fucking austism. The only place I can think of where posts like the ones in this thread are made are in fucking /pol/ back when stormfront was doing their best to fuck the site up. Fucking pieces of shit all of you.

Shibayan Records' response to this whole situation makes me feel he is either a naive idiot or a communist.

If he really is okay with plagiarizing and profiting off of his work, then people should spread the word so singers like 3L and writers like milka stop working with him because he didn't really protect the group's brand and image.

I been checking his twitter and all he does is post emoticons all the time. Even the Japanese female artists I follow on twitter don't tweet like middle schoolers 24/7 compared to Shibayan.
