Chances are you already googled Kill the Past and read about it but if you didn't, Kill the Past is basically what SUDA51 calls a number of games he wrote or directed that share the same recurring elements, characters, themes, some vague and clear continuity and backstories you'd never understand if you have never played the previous games (e.g killer7).
You might want to read more in-depth about Kill the Past but you'll definitely spoil yourself by doing that so I'd advise you to play the games first.
If you're still interested I can tell you the series in its chronological order because you'll never find them all in the internet.

I played them in Japanese but a few months ago I introduced the series to someone from /v/ and apparently he found that Twilight Syndrome Tansaku-hen and Twilight Syndrome: Saika are completely translated on YouTube and Twilight Syndrome: Kyuumei-hen is being translated by the same person, not sure if they finished translating it right now or not. Also according to him, Moonlight Syndrome has an incomplete translation and he didn't mention Twilight Syndrome: Kinjirareta Toshi Densetsu but I guess it's untranslated. The rest of the series is available in English though.

Why not skip it and read Kurayami Dance instead? From what I understand, it's based on the original script for Shadows of the Damned and it's way closer to the kill the past series than SotD turned out to be.

I listed it because a certain part in TSA is a sequel to SotD. I didn't consider it Kill the Past game before playing TSA.
