you need to study your basics unironically so you can convey the shapes more tasteful, but first you need to get down the very basic shit like proportions, her pelvis is to small or too compacted, it doesn't help either that her frame is a bit too wide for her size,and the shadows make no sense, shading becomes really easy once you now the shapes of what are you are shading, right now looks like you are shading giant sausages because it follows a very basic shape in her body parts like cylinders, her clothes also don't look appealing at least to me, they lack weight, form and they don't interact with the area around em, like they don't thight the skin, don't cast shadows and it looks almost like a cardboard.

Any tips on how to shade and imply form/depth with hatching anon? Also any tips on stylization in general and choosing what kind of lines should be prioritized/chosen? I'm not really sure how to explain, I'm not very good of a teacher. I am sorry..But I will try my best.
It's difficult for me to explain shadows such as crosshatching except to think of how you'd shade normally with color or where you'd sometimes use crosshatches(like the tummy). Adding crosshatches there adds not only depth, but makes it more detailed and nicer overall. I would say to add soft lines carefully to form an object or person in certain areas

As for lines, do you mean like lineweight? I use certain lineswhere they intersect each other at times, or where i know shadow would cast. I recommended to study from your favorite anime artists that you think draws good. Eventually, your art style will develop on its own

My main problem is honestly I can do outline drawings just fine, but I can't stylize and render/give textures using hatching/lines/dots from pen/ink at all because it doesn't logically make sense to me. With realistic drawings I can manage to understand those just fine. First I need to draw the outlines with the right positions, shapes, and proportions. Then I continue to draw the 'blocks of mass' in the correct shapes, proportions, positions and shades then bam!, a realistic drawing comes out. Gotcha. A good trick I use is downloading MMD models from BowlRoll as reference for topology. Especially hair, that shit gets complicated fast. You can import them into Blender after using a .pmx import add-on, then just move the model because the skeleton will be invisible but become a visible pain in the ass after exporting to .stl for use in Autodesk Inventor, which needs an add-on for importing .stl files. Or for use in other software.

but in my personal experience with a huion 1060 about 70 usd for over a year the tablet worked fine but the pen accuracy was garbage once you get used to it you can quickly recognize its flaws, just a heads up i don't know about the other tablets but make a good research before you buy.

and now i just got a wacom intuos pro and the pen is far better about 3 times and really close to the feel of a normal pen, my worktime is about 2 times faster than with my huion, it was 320 usd but it was fucking worth it i regret not going with this from the beggining, i would recommend you to go with this or the non pro line is cheaper and it seems that the pen is just as good as the intuos pro minus the tilt and eraser iirc

Eh, sorry, I guess I was a tad grumpy when I replied and let that bleed into my post. My bad.

That being said, my sentiment remains - Though caring and wanting to stay faithful/close to the original design is of course absolutely valid, I just wanted to say that one should not feel obligated to do that, since making changes and taking a more personal spin on it is just as valid.
