Saying something sold out doesn't really mean much because it depends entirely on copies produced. And even though every otaku and their mom knows his name that doesn't mean he's making a liveable wage off just selling x amount of copies of games twice a year at comiket.

Fate/Grand Order, published by the same company as Cannonball, by the way, is a card game, not gachashit. Kancer is a tactics game. Girls Frontline is also a tactics game. Dokkan Battle is another card game. Fire Emblem Heroes is a tactics game, too. Love Live Idol Festival is a rhythm game.

What sort of logic is that? That's been an official game from the get-go, ever since its announcement. This one isn't. Throwing a lot of money at a fangame or having it be made by a big company doesn't make it official, even if it is a big commercial title that will undoubtedly attract a good bit of attention. ZUN's already said it's not official. That doesn't make this not a big game, but it's still unofficial.
