Who do you guys main? Who's a good character for a beginner to learn the game with?

All of the characters are pretty balanced, except for Reisen and Komachi, which are harder to play. Just choose your favorite and stick with it.

Youmu is LOL AAAAA combo for beginers, if you know the buttons its not an issue, the game is MUCH more player friendly than IaMP, as for the "hard" people to start with in the game its really just remilia, -alice much more wider/distanced mellee attacks, which simply takes a bit more time to get use too.

A beginner can learn the game pretty well with Reimu, to be honest. Hell, the only thing you need to know that isn't blatantly obvious beyond grazing and the controls is that you should try Down+B or C for most chars, especially ghost touhou, as well as Right, Down, Downright B/C(Or Left same pattern) in addition to the QCF/QCB standards. The game hides some useful moves in there.

Hell, you don't even need to worry about deck customization bullshit.

I'd kinda like to see the endings translated. Don't know why the wikis never translate the fucking endings.

Not that it really matters, but you never know if they hide some cute punchlines.

In the end, most any character works. Marisa is a good starter because she has a few simple moves that are really effective, but they're enough to be versatile, whereas Sakuya is CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC and Ghost Sword Girl is just spam melee. Suika might teach you bad habits because her forwardB is just too useful. Yuyu will teach you to cover your melee attacks with spells, but she is a little tricky.

Really though, just find a good match and you can even roll random for your chars.

Komachi is pretty easy to learn to be honest. Remilia and Alice can be kinda iffy, and Iku's LOLHUEG melee range can take some getting used to.

You seem to have misspelled Aya there.
Seriously though, Yuyuko and Yukari are not OP. They just both have easy to push buttons that fill the screen with shit, very impressive when you start out, easier to deal with once you're experienced.
Yukari is also the queen of bullshit. She's not broken, but so many of her attacks are retardedly good AND perfectly safe on block (66c, 623c), not to mention her 5c eats up almost every other projectile in the game.

Teching is when you either recover in the air after being hit instead of letting yourself fall to the ground, or when you get up from the ground by "rolling" in a direction by holding 4 or 6+D.

The wiki has all the spellcard names and effects, and some of the combos which include them. As for how to use them, well, just figure it out. Use a reversal when you're being hit, or when you know a hit is coming. use big dumb HUEG DMAAEG spells as part of a combo, or when you have a blatant opening.
Just avoid throwing big spellcards out there hoping it'll hit, a common mistake amongst begginers, who also only works against other begginers.

Hardly. Yuyuko's too slow, and Yukari's damage leaves a lot to be desired. Even with their lolbroken projectiles and spellcards, it's a mistake to rely on them.

Aya or Reimu are so easy to learn, they're a good start. For raw damage fun while still a decent challenge, there's Suika and Marisa.
