This board wouldn't exist. I doubt any other franchise would have caused so much grief to moot as to give it its own board. (MLP notwithstanding)
However there'd probably be an idol board, because /mu/ would drown under all those threads. Most of the other threads would fit on /mu/, /a/, /vg/, /r9k/, /trv/ and /o/.

I don't know about the world, but I would never have started learning Japanese. Touhou has definitely changed my life.

For better or worse, I might not be a NEET, and I might not be obsessed with recapturing the feelings during the time in my life when I first discovered it. I don't know exactly where I would be without it, but I think Touhou definitely contributed a lot to the road I'm currently on. That might be a bad thing or a good thing, because while it might hurt, at least I have something I feel strongly about and a time I wish I could go back to.
