For the uninitiated, a yukkuri is only considered "born" once it is capable of slurring out some variation of "Take it easy" (usually, something like "Tage id eajy"). This display most likely represents the birth of cognitive awareness in a yukkuri. Respective yukkuri-types either have variations or do not require saying "Take it easy" at birth: Aya-types (Kimeemaru) and Chen-types (who "get it" rather than "take it easy").

Violence against yukkuris has been a trend for a long time. Still, it's one of the things I can stomach.
Why would take beloved characters, reduce them to cute pets with their own behavior and characteristics only to slaughter them again and again?
Different strokes I guess. Still, I'll never understand the kind of people that likes those. Maybe I lack empathy.

No, you don't. It's very easy to hate them since yukkuri's are always portrayed as extremely selfish creatures who only serve to make a mess everywhere they go, and other than eating, the only other thing they do is procreate. They are exactly like rats.

FFS. They are not like pets. Pets can't talk. Pets don't demand to be fed, they just sit there waiting to be fed. If a master forgets to feed the pet, it'll just die, but a yukkuri will annoy the master, demanding food until it gets some.

>> No.2112856

>>If a master forgets to feed the pet, it'll just die
Oh, sure, "pets" get a reprieve from your condemnation because they can't articulate words? Even if there is a cage between them and the outside world, you have to be talking about a really stupid pet if it starves itself for lack of its "Master's voice."

That was one of the better yukkuri torture stories I've read. There was a longer one which involved Anon putting an electric shocker on the ribbon of a Reimu yukkuri, so the yukkuri would want it off, but if that happened the other yukkuri the Anon was keeping would RAGE and start mauling the Reimu. The ending where that same Reimu ending up killing her own younger sisters and choosing to die was amazing; is it in the archive?
