I already read super low at 725 for pretty much everything, I haven't really played around with it for but I've noticed slight timing improvements when I go a bit higher actually. I know a 20's player that pretty much has a preferred reading speed for like every song in the game and it's rarely uniform from one song to the next, and mostly I just leave it locked on 725.
Rather than a reading speed issue though, I think it's mostly a physical thing due to developing some bad habits with my left hand when I'm doing onehanded shit. Also, I really need to train my brain to do crossovers more naturally. I've passed Prayer EXH but it took some goddamn brute forcing to learn to do the crossovers in that.

Since you have bad habits though, definitely try using Mirror, and do your best not to cheat one-handed sections.
You should be able to cleanly hit notes (hit every note as if it were its own separate chord) up to around 130-140 BPM 16ths. So if a chart is, say 260 BPM, the one-handed section will be 8th notes, so you mentally divide that by 2 and think of it as a slow 130 BPM chart and hit accordingly.
This should help wear down any bad habits, and if you keep mental notes of this as you play more charts, will make timing much easier in general since you know roughly how fast the chart will be.
Hopefully that's helpful, if my explanation wasn't too shit. It can be a bit confusing at first, but it would have been incredibly helpful if I knew about it earlier.
