Momiji's is often used in doujinshi for comedic purposes, Remilia's is used a FUCKTON in doujinshi, and Letty's hardly can be considered taking a backseat considering how closely tied to her character it is.

It's odd, I sort of want Nitori to be my favourite character (possibly my favourite theme) but Touhou has so many characters I love for me to pick her over others.

I'd say I appreciate Nitori. She's probably the one youkai who would make a really good friend.

Actually Reimu doesn't "fly", her power is literally to be not affected by gravity.

Reimu's original power (perhaps it refers to "靈夢" Reimu), was the ability to float above danger. Fanon agreed that this was the most uber-hax in Gensokyo, making her completely invulnerable. However, it has been scaled-back over the years to "霊夢" Reimu's representation of the power. Consider that her strengths in the beginning were weak, so much that she couldn't attack enemies directly at some points and instead relied almost solely on her Ying Yang weapons, to what they are now.
A good deal of the fanon still consider her an infallible fighter, beaten only once during Suika's scenario in IaMP.

As far as Touhou powers go, I think I've only ever seen Komachi's "power to manipulate distance" mentioned once.

As far as I can tell, this means she can essentially get anywhere she can see or bring anything she wants directly to her.

As previously said, ideally people should concentrate less on the flavour powers each youkai is given and quit comparing their strengths. It's a fairy tale setting and strength is very situational to the story being told, in a world where it's entirely feasible to steal a whole season the individal powers of the strongest of these isn't really that important.

Yuyuko gets a fairly good rep in this regard really, people concentrate more on a joke about her gluttony rather than her ability to call people to their deaths. It's over done like most Touhou joke aspects, but we don't see as much faggotry over her being strong.

I love Yuyuko personally, I think she's a pretty neat character when you get down to it. Able to keep up with Yukari's schemes she feigns a ditzy ghost personality to cover her actions, anything she does is often seen as a silly whim with little purpose. Plus, say what you like, she is pretty attractive on her own.

Personally I like most of Felis Ovum's work. It really catches the atmosphere of Touhou for me. Back when fairy tales were actually warnings and anything is possible. Catches my imagination and makes youkai actually seem threatening.
