I was actually serious, there's a reason it's popular among newfags; Nasu is an accessible, fairly addicting, catchy kind of writer. Takeuchi is a shit artist, but there's something about his characters that just click, at least his older ones, back when Type Moon was still Doujin and in the early sell-out years.

FSN or Tsukihime are far from the worst places to start off. I'd say FSN, since the production value is better and less likely to turn off a beginner.

Tsukihime is probably a decent gateway to VNs, it was the first one I read/played.

With that out of the way, the games are pretty good. Not LOL FOUR THREADS ON FRONT PAGE good, but maybe ONE THREAD ON FRONT PAGE EVERY WEEK good.

TL;DR: TM is overhyped, but not overrated. Play them. Do not make threads as you go.
