Netflix has some comfy old stuff like a few seasons of Knight Scoop from 2010, I wish Hulu never existed over there so more old variety shows would be easier to get.

Everything having JP subs is pretty nice too, it makes such a change from the usual chink uploads that never bother with a fucking 10kb file because they're too lazy to retime it when they cut out the ad breaks. It's just a shame it's such a hassle to access all this stuff because nips seem to think there are no external markets, a lot of region locking seems to be purely to spite the Chinese.

Public broadcasters in other countries region-lock shit as well, but usually only content with region-restricted licensing like sports.
Look at the US. PBS shows are largely on fucking YouTube for the whole world to watch. That has really improved my opinion of the country. It's a shame about what has happened to InfiniteSeries, though.

the one in the OP is also a currently airing drama and looks like it was a made for tv movie. The music is good, the camera work is decent and they use real locations. Looks like all the budget in 3 - A went into paying for the actors in this show.

Recently saw House (aka HAUSU) from 1977 and loved it. Basically it's the happiest, most colorful horror comedy ever, but still with a nice dose of gore and nudity and some very trippy old-school SFX. It's also surprisingly meta at times for a movie made more than 40 years ago.
