I just got into Japan today and am staying in a suburb a bit outside of Tokyo and is not really a tourist-y area. I had to take a few trains to get her, and I ran into so many school girls today. There was a really pretty and cute one on the bus, and I pretended not to know which stop to get off on just to talk to her a bit, and she answered with a very cute accent. Honestly I felt kind of depressed afterwards knowing that this experience is just a fleeting moment and that there's this whole other world happening that you're generally not a part of.

What is JC?

Japanese teenagers are more wholesome and kinder than any schoolmate I've had in both junior and senior high school.
Seen so many vids on youtube and instagram and stories from exchange students, the fun they are having (when not studying non-stop), nothing compared to the schools I've attended in my country, here it's just a bunch of disrespectful idiot that feel the need to doubt and make unnecessary discussions about anything. Perhaps I'm just too damn sophisticated.

I'm only 19 and can't go an exchange year to Japan because these exchange programs have these idiot rules where you can only apply if you're under 17. In my case, I'm not one of the cool kids with rich parents and for Japanese standards I'm too old as fuck to attend high school there, at least for public high schools, private high schools are 50% more expensive than the public ones and costs like 1 million yen for one year.

I went to a 2 week trip this late summer in Tokyo and saw this white dude in school uniform with his classmates, can't describe how patheticly sad I was.

Most schools have some kind of clubs or after school activities, even if not, there are so many things to do after school that where you meet with other teenagers so who really cares.
School uniform is just unnesceary af and just adds more policies to the school, ( which is already really strict), unnecessary gets taken away, what would the emo kid do if he is only allowed to wear his uniform. Or the school hypebeasts.
