Ended up doing a ref set of Mion's swimsuits from official medias. I think my favorite is from Saikoroshi's manga, similar to the school swimsuit but with a big cleavage. The bikini (second from the right) is pretty nice too.

Huh, that reminds me. I've never actually seen the Saikoroshi manga. Should probably buy it. But damn, despite seeing all those reference images in the past, I never realized until they were all lined up just how many different "official" swimsuits Mion has to choose from. I think it'd be cool to pick out 2 designs for her, one school swimsuit style and 1 casual style, just like she has in the PS2 version. For the school swimsuit, I agree the deep cleavage one looks best. Though it might be weird for a school swimsuit to have so much exposure, so maybe just adding a higher neckline option would work.

As for a casual design... I think a two-piece would be best for variety's sake (even though it may raise issues given her tattoo, though I suppose that's what makeup is for). Bottom left isn't bad, but it looks more like underwear than a swimsuit. The white shoulderless top + sidetie bottom and the top right blue bikini both seem a bit plain, though still nice in their own way. That just leaves the china dress style and the second from the right. The former seems more iconic, being featured in both the anime and the PS2 version, whereas the later only exists as that one image. It also seems more unique, and something that would be fun to see. However, when it comes to sex appeal, the skimpy bikini definitely wins. Just the thought of her cleavage and sideboob in that gets you excited. Plus, seeing it on such a voluptuous version of Mion makes me more inclined to think it'd suit your own well-endowed version of her.

I once made an edit once of the PS2 swimsuit sprite to make it look like the version from anime. Though it was just a quick thing I did.

It might look like a lot of swimsuits, but in the end only three are in story canon, the rest are random illustrations. The chinese swimsuit, the school swimsuit, and the dark one piece swimsuit of manga Saikoroshi.

Yeah, I realize the Saikoroshi one isn't actually a school swimsuit. I just figured that it'd be simple enough to tweak a school swimsuit to resemble it, simply be removing some lines, cutting out some cleavage, and darkening the color.
But yeah, I'm not all that fond of the chinese looking one either to be honest. It's just the most prominent casual one she has, so I thought it was worth mentioning. In my opinion, while it's somewhat exotic looking, it feels too conservative. Rena's and Rika's anime swimsuits both looked bolder, so having the bold and busty class pres stick to something like that felt like somewhat of a letdown. I think it's fine to go with a bolder one like the bikini even if it was never actually worn in any official media.

I could see Mion in a clothing store deliberating over which swimsuit to buy, looking back and forth between these options. She'd be torn between her desire to uphold her image as the bold and outgoing club leader and her hidden embarrassment at the prospect of being seen by her Keiichi in something so sensual.

If we're talking about no sprites characters, I guess I would be more interested by Kei's dad. Though I don't really see myself remaking all the game's sprites just for the heck of it, it's a bit much. Who knows how much I'll end up doing. Was particularly interested in redrawing Takano since I really dislike her remade sprites.

I'm still impressed at how an artist seemingly specialized in ero doujins (from what I heard) managed to make such an unsexy Takano who aso feels nothing like the original and who doesn't even smile in her default sprite. The v2 Alchemist had a bit more that mature vibe and less thick cloths that hides her curves, but they still kept the random clothes change and that long ass forehead + plain hair is a terrible combo.

Alarmed, Anon’s fingers flew across his keyboard, trying out various keys in the hopes of getting a response. Nothing. As a last ditch effort he reached for the power button, thinking he might be able to fix the issue by rebooting. But to his surprise, even that proved useless as the monitor remained obstinately lit. He could do nothing but watch as his beloved gateway to the net grew more and more jumbled.

An unexpected sound caused him to look around the room in surprise. It was the sound of a woman’s chuckling, deep and resonating. The voice sounded oddly familiar, but anon was too preoccupied with more pressing concerns regarding his computer to identify it. Whatever it was, it seemed to be coming from his malfunctioning monitor. Perhaps some program had started up? Or maybe it was just the speakers glitching out as well. It was impossible to say for certain with the screen like this. He was just about to try turning the computer off again when the voice sounded again, this time speaking clearly.

Not just steam. PS2 was just as bad. The only potential reason I can come up with is that they wanted their character designs to look professional; ie, not like something from an eroge.
