Eh, you'll catch up faster and be more relevant on JP than global anyway. Gumi SEA is extremely infamous for killing their current localization for their new one in an attempt to move their playerbase to their next game so your days on global are counted too, on top of global having a ton of awful garbage that makes braving the runes on JP a better choice.

Either play around on global for a while, learn the UI and general feel for the game then move to JP or just jump blindly to JP and learn the game using the translated guides because everything is translated. They should be getting pretty generous in Xmas and their anniversary in feb (JP) so it might be a good time to start.

I really hate the schedule on the Tower, especially previously. It runs for less than a week but they expect you to brute force 40-50 floors and an EX mode in that time. It's really not friendly to anyone who has fallen behind since you're limited to one 'refresh' per day. Why is magic life drain so sketchy? I can have a Kyouka on 10% health and, on the first hit of her UB, she will instantly go to full health. The overlap was the worst thing for me as a new player. Even generally speaking, having two events that need the same consumable to run at the same time sounds like shit, especially when they have event-limited characters to farm. What? Up until a few weeks ago it was one of the most accessible games to get into, especially if you start with Makoto and Jun. The rest of the characters come easily over time, either through hard modes, dungeon coins or via arena/PArena coins. Like 90% of the characters are grindable without spending a penny. Your only 'limit' as a newbie is that you are limited in stamina regen for what you can do per day but as you level it improves. With the introduction of legfest limiteds and the whole every power creep character is a limited thing it's starting to get a pretty bullshit if you want to remain 'good' but, for now at least, you can easily get by without any of them. For now. Just do yourself a favour though and start with Makoto and Jun if you can as it'll save you a lot of headaches.

Any suggestions/changes to the OP?

We'll reach bump limit soon and even though the thread wont 404 for like a day, we might as well discuss if anything needs to be changed from the OP

it's okay to feel discouraged anon but rhythm games are not solely about "how fast" you are. high level rhythm games are mostly memorizing the song/notes. so play it enough times and i'm sure you could memorize a hard song like that as well.
