Yukari resembles more of a liminal god than a youkai. Most ancient religions had gods to represented boundaries, thresholds, and crossing them, which covered literal boundaries between spaces and conceptual ones, such as life and death
interestingly Hecate is often ascribed similar qualities in mythology, and including her out of all other potential foreign myth makes me makes me wonder what ZUN has planned
