I don't think they're so major that they're split personalities but I don't think they're just alter egos either. I think they represent the different opinions, views, traits etc. of Sayo. Usually people don't have so many contrasting traits but Sayo is a deeply conflicted person. Depending on her mood she sometimes thinks and acts like Shannon, sometimes like Kanon and sometimes like Beato, and part of her struggle is deciding which one she truly wants to be.
