You can try to enter Noyel from the east and dig through the walls of the cathedral to avoid guards, also.

If you find a disguise kit you may be able to use that to get you past the guards. Similarly for scrolls of incognito. You can even use these to turn in lost suitcases/wallets, but there is a limit to how many you can turn in a month I believe.
You can also use incognito to visit the place you pay your bills so you don't lose further karma for missing your bills. You could also buy a tax box from Miral and Garok's workshop, so you can pay your bills from home.
Lastly, there's the fallen hero event, where you can bury them for +5 karma, which are common enough events.

Just screw the damned indulgence already, it is way too costly to be worth the effort EVER. She will ask you for several millions, and will remove a mere half of negative karma.

Use other methods of atonement. They listed on karma page on wiki. Bury dead adventurers (common event), use disguise kits and turn in any wallets/suitcases you find.

And, since you are a criminal already - join thieves guild. You will get easy access to disguise kits (thief tools vendor) and fence will buy stolen goods for their full price. Teleport him (and other bustanders, if any) away, loot the vault and sell everything back to him. Paintings are quite valuable.

Depends, considering that high charisma means you can have more pets, would you count pet kills for this? I think there is also an tweak to enable npcs taking damage while vomiting at starving, so cursed alcohol becomes useful again. There is also the Sexy Dance and Bewitch actions but I'm not sure how much usefulness they have in combat.
As a last resort, you could just become needlessly proficient in slinging panties at things.

Are picnic baskets ultimately more effective than potential potions, or do potential potions still outmatch picnic baskets when it comes to repairing hopeless potential spreads?

They didn't even remotely compare on any of my characters who didn't use pets for anything beyond crap like making food. Probably compare better if you actually use pets. Pots were more accessible since I could just buy them in my base rather than collecting several ingrediants then fusing. Gave more potential. Could be stacked and blessed in large piles easily.

That's probably it, I have only a single merchant to get potential pots from, so at this rate it takes about a year to get pots to show up...if I'm lucky.

I've never been able to get more than 1 of that kind of merchant in my home on any character. The game absolutely refuses to put more in my selection for my home and I'm not going to go to town to get pots when my potentials are already at max any time I wanted them to be.
Still had enough pots of potential to do what I needed and more, as a solo player. They weren't nearly that rare for me but all my characters have been absolutely absurdly rich because of not having to get pets any gear and having the slots that normally are used for pets used on ranches and multiple shops. So there's a good chance my shops were much higher levels than yours.
Just keep at it and it'll all work out.

Sometimes you can find living weapons on black market shops (investing helps), there is one in Kapul. I can't remember if they sell all types of guns, though.
The only other reliable option is crafting with pot of fusion, but that requires loads of stardusts, +40 levels or so on crafting skills (to craft ingredients), and loads of luck (like a lucky day or christmas cakes).
While fairly rare, you can find living weapons anywhere (I got a living scythe from a harvest quest in Yowyn with one of my character). Just keep playing normally.
For the "powering up" process, drink potential potions and eat herb-in food while doing your usual adventurer stuff. Work on quests for platinum coins as usual to improve your skills.

I've always had much better luck getting living weapons from traveling merchants than anything else. Just make sure you examine every miracle and godly weapon and you'll get one eventually. Even if it's not a weapon type you want to specialize in they're still useful because you can load them up with a million element resistances.

Good to make some roleplay'ish builds, like dance actions, platinum song, cheer, synchro hearts, squeeze, magic kiss and prostitution for idol pet. Be creative. Game is too easy to care about breaking it, simply playing normally breaks it already.

Pretty much as >>19099487 said. Completely ignoring DV naturally makes them better than most weapons by default. A claymore is arguably better for two handing though simply because they start heavier than the standard lightsaber, while lightsabers would be better for dual wielding since even the heaviest lightsabers are still pretty light. Most light weapons have low hit dice and struggle with high PV as well I assume, so the 100% pierce is a godsend.

From what I recall, heavier weapons have greater bonuses from the two hand skill. I think I also saw somewhere that heavier weapons have stronger critical hits as well. Alternatively, there's a penalty for to-hit while two-handing a weapon while riding. The to hit penalty is more severe with heavier weapons, and two handing a weapon on foot instead of riding will always be better, even if your weapon is only 4.0s

Use Adamantium instead of "anything".
Dual Wield's main feature is the extra attack bonus (up to 8 hits), so you should get weapons with good on-hit spells, like Time Stop. Living weapons are a option too, "clean" godly stuff isn't that easy to find and artifact fusion is a very slow process.
Diablos is pretty decent, and it will show you how Time Stop works.

Yes, Lay Hand is an automatic effect (you or any ally on screen will be revived automatically, once per sleep), and pets will use the default gauge attacks on their next attack if the gauge bar is full. I don't know much about the other types of gauge-based attacks (like some Breath attacks and Shadow Rush), though.

Sage Helm if you don't want to use Ehekatl or Yacatect's weapon to see invisible enemies.
Shield Tonfa if you are a martial artist. While it looks good as a shield (if you are a sword&board character), it won't give you the benefits of the Shield skill.
Elements Eyes for martial artists and breath users (to change the elements of their attacks).
Diablo is a neat weapon for dual wielders (not heavy enough for two-handing, you will need some cursed scrolls of flying for that).
Garok's Hammer is quite useful. You use it on non-miracle/godly equipment to turn them into miracle equipment with a specific attribute based on the equipment type (check wiki page for a list). The most popular choices are ammo (critical+) and rings (travel+).
You will want to get Void Explorer eventually (unlocks the Void dungeon), but it's not a priority for low level players.
Decoration is just decoration (tax box is kinda useful if you don't live near Palmia and hate to go to that place for some reason), and everything else is a overpriced and can be obtained with other methods.

Honestly, Hermes Blood potions are a bit overpriced in my opinion, especially for low-mid level characters (except golems, since they want to get all speed they can find as early as possible). They are great for pets (+20 speed if blessed), but not that great on characters (+8 speed if blessed), and you will be getting tons of speed via AP after you clear Act 1. I only buy them when I don't feel like buying anything else from the medal shop for the rest of my character's life.
If really just want to buy something now, get a Garok Hammer and use it on an normal Aurora Ring (Moyer in Noyel sometimes sells them). Equipping a garok'd aurora ring, a garok'd speed ring and the seven league boots will give you a pretty nice speed boost while travelling (very useful for selling christmas trees in Port Kapul).

You can raise speed via the act 2 guy/hermes blood pretty easily. Lower base speed means the act 2 guy method goes faster. So if you don't cheat the system to give pets the max possible growth speed regardless of base stats, his lower speed is better.

Doesn't really matter which pet is best though when they're all broken as fuck. Increased gains from pretty much anything that increases stats, pay gold to increase potentials at absurd rates, gain exp faster than the player just by default. I can kind of get the idea behind it (grow faster so people who have a ton can have each be strong) but the result is pets are just fucking broken as all hell.

Is there a way to extract the static location maps (towns, static dungeons, deeds, etc) to view as images?
I put in a short attempt at just stitching them together from screenshots but by the time you make the handful of character moves you need in order to keep the PC and surroundings out of the image, the time of day and therefore lighting usually changes which makes the whole thing fairly ugly. This method also can't eliminate the elements of the UI that are displayed over the map.

Would it be possible for the itemlist filter to be able to filter based on equipment attributes? As implemented the itemlist feature is not very useful because it doesn't tell me anything I don't already know, i.e. things that are already written in the item name.
I think it would be a lot more useful if I could filter by things like living, eternal force, sucks blood, floats, drains exp, etc, because those attributes require me to look at the items individually to see if they have them. This would be of actual use to the player, drawing attention to items that otherwise might be sold as trash rather than go through the tedium of eXamining every item.

To expand, right now I use the itemlist as a way to skip reading magic vendor inventories: I have potions of potential and a few other scrolls and spellbooks set to highlight so that I can scan for the things I want without having to actually read the entire thing. Expanding on this, you need to kill the boss of Rehmido. On low health it uses super regeneration and heals insane amounts. I wasn't able to kill it until level ~85 and I died a few times. It's a special floor so any items you drop on death are gone for good. You should focus on keeping potentials up and just do whatever you think is fun. You could collect useful god rewards like Yacatect's amulet or Jure's special feat that gives insanity resistance. Teach a pet cooking and another tailoring or carpentry (only one can proc per night). Some of my nicest gear was made by my android. Getting strong enough that you can safely kill Big Daddies will help you alot later, so best to start early. If you start a fight you can't win with one stay calm and read a scroll of teleportation and then a scroll of escape.

It sounds like you haven't played for very long but you're trying to give advice. You can ride a snail to sell out a shop of 400 items in 2 mins real life time. You can only have as many ranches as pets slots you're willing to give up with a max of 15 if you play solo, not a couple dozen. Heavy monsters won't breed fast enough to give you any meaningful profit even if you manipulate the clock. I highly doubt wizards harvest is worth spamming. I don't know how it scales or if it even does but I doubt it's worth it at all when you add the cost of buying tons of spellbooks even with high memorization. I've made ~10mil gold, ~200 pp and ~100 medals from 3k harvest stock just now, with low spellpower. I used it solely to get books to rank mages guild, but bonus was unexpectedly nice, especially medals - probably the fastest way to get those. Gold from harvest is a byproduct that makes fiddling with shop simply bothersome. I'll probably rely on harvest until i get piggybank on this save.

Gold is unimportant either way, you can just craft a stash of panties and sell them for instant millions once you hit midgame, or use up your mat stock for pots/poo statues.

You can max out stats without speed exploit. Your stat gain is capped by hunger and herb'in crafting time either way. After you get to Act3 you can get infinite herb farms with a few miromi gems.
Spell levels are unrelated to speed exploit, they are capped by potential and you can only recover it by either sleeping or spending skillpoints, and latter is a way to go for a mage.

I check at least 8 magic vendors for this and still have big excess of money. PP is more of a problem for me - i dont like investing without skill potential on investing, and simply selling items crafted by pets/void drops usually give more money than i could spend without black market/investing. What really burns money for me is spellwriter with high level books to train memorization/literacy.
I've recently noticed that i get many more potential pots from crafting with mats donated by pets, so i really only aim for scrolls of wonder/material now. Half a hour of pet arena grinding with dragon child/bell gives around 40 potions as a byproduct, in addition to a bunch of levels, crazy high fame and a few millions of gold in pocket money for pets.

I think ranch trick works as intended by Ano. Ranching with breeder gives much better profit per ranch. Still, I just can't bring myself to actually make use of it - its slightly tedious and doesn't give instant profit like selling a pair of kinky transparent ether panties of godly quality.
Will probably do a rancher/farmer save one day for this, since ranching roleplay value is quite high.

Potential potions + doing high exp giving actions is a thousand times more efficient than the time it takes to farm herbs, and you're training skills that way along with your base stats anyway so it's two birds one stone. For example right now I'm getting level 2000 casting for wish using oracle while chugging potential pots when my potentials get low naturally. For farming herbs the time it takes to revive all your withered plants and harvest everything is huge compared to the amount of non curaria and stomafilia herbs you get. It's not a bad way to round out your spells if that's all you want. However wouldn't you get similar results out of targeting monsters in hunting or later panic and challenge quests? Train spells there all the while getting gold, some corpses, and platinum for your efforts too? Work on your traveling skill traveling town to town for quests as well. I now have this equipped. I got this armor from a boss drop in a dungeon. Find that for dungeons I get most of my miracle or godly gear from dungeon bosses or big daddies with a sprinkling from the actual dungeon floor. Since it's adamantium I get lots of PV from the armor and it comes with decent magic resist and other enchants. Second page is just an enchant to negate blind. If you're a caster and worried about weight apply some blessed flying scrolls. That's what I did.

MA is now at 1,009. The game has gotten harder in certain aspects but easier in others.

The most striking change is probably the dungeon gold nerf. Dungeons, specifically the dungeon boss, used to drop a whole lot more gold and a whole lot earlier than now. All you really needed to do back then for lots of gold is dungeon dive. It's different now. Dungeons don't contain as much raw gold as before and you really need to level them up before you start seeing good amounts of it. So dungeons can be lucrative but not until much later in the game. Due to that gold making became more difficult early on leading me and other players to become more creative in how they got gold. Crafting, cargo running, farming/ranching, all became much more important along with the job board. Since the crafts and other money making methods took time to set up the early game imo became much longer and harder. More time was needed to raise gold to buy essential early game stuff. New enemies added as well as special actions has also bumped up the difficulty somewhat for me at least.

On the hand, some stuff did get easier. For instance It's definitely much easier to level up now and raise skills. I haven't had to resort to mass wish blessed descent potion shenanigans so far. I've been getting all my levels from just killing stuff in the void. Max exp needed to level skills last I heard was capped at skill level 300 so once you reach 300 that's the feel you'll have leveling all the way to 2000. Used to be that the exp needed kept raising past 300 so so far leveling skills has felt refreshingly much easier. The addition of fever mode has also made the farming of small medals easier. I have a deeper appreciation for fever mode due to higher speed on my character. As your speed increases days don't past by as fast meaning your fever mode dungeon runs last longer.

I came back to this recently and the last time I played was pre-shop nerf, which was also apparently pre-dungeon nerf.
Things feel slower, not harder. Every early game source of cash except party time felt not even worth doing, they gave so little. Getting my palace took annoyingly long compared to the older versions.

If the goal is ''get rich quick'', sure, its harder, early on anyways. If the goal is ''get excessively high stats way beyond what you ever need to tackle to main content'', then maybe its a bit harder earlier to setup shop and buy the castle and invest and all that crap.

But if the goal is just ''win the game'', it feels as easy as ever. You don't really need perfect superb growth, breakfest every morning, waking up every day to a nice cool glass of blessed potential, just to beat the game. Most of the enemies are just balls of stats that either run at you or fling shit and it still doesn't take long to trade for gear that makes you massively outclass them at everything.

You would need to use the pot for fusion to make panties now. Look at the pot for fusion wiki entry for more info on it. While you certainly could do that and make some gold out of it it's not nearly as viable a gold making method as it once was. Mainly because crafting gear has been made harder with the need for star dust. Easier to get living weapons of anything you want now though.

I just had a bug on windows 10 where the game thinks a key is pressed down, and nothing fixes it. This happened on win 7 as well, but there it only lasted until you press the offending key. On win10 it's permanent.

The fix: restart as administrator and resave the game. this clears the bug. afterwards it works normally even without admin permission.

I need better ways to get cash early. I'm level 23 with just over 700,000. I want my palace so I can get mage shop keepers and invest in them. Fairly sure if I do this now, I lose the investment when I upgrade home, since they all get fired.

I made a sprite for my little girl (seen in the last two screenshots posted), but its the first one I've ever made so it sucks. AI I plan to do once she actually has buffs I can make her use. First pet I've used since my very first character, hoping custom AI can allow me to use a pet in fights as a buffer/healer and not essentially a vastly superior version of myself that scales super hard, ignores all casting penalties and gets abilities giving it effectively infinite MP.

I can't see myself using more than one pet. Just one on my first guy was so fucking broken she sucked all the fun out of the game, causing me to restart and play without one for every character between then and now. With exceptions to out of battle stuff like breakfest that a true solo player is simply fucked by and can't get anything comparable to.

Found some Ragnarok Online Screenshots and Sprites on an old HD and decided to edit some of them for elona for nostalgias sake. Haven't done this for like half a decade and working with the tiny resolution was a pain so the result doesn't look as good as I wanted it but here's golden knight if anyone wants to use it, just cut out the version you want and save as .bmp.

In the process of tinkering around with everything. Gave my pet a custom sprite, full body sprite, portrait and a custom talk file. Probably will work on a simple custom AI for her later. As for the second question, no. Thanks to custom AI and being able to teach any pet basically anything you can learn, the only real functional difference is the few unique moves they have access to, the metal monsters flags and the amount of life apples needed to give them acceptable hp (which for most is 0)
They do technically gain AP at differing rates, but there's an NPC that allows you to make them all go up at the fastest rate, super retard fast, regardless, just to make them even more samey.

As far as I'm aware Jure's has a church building in Noyel making it sort of her town along with the Jure festival being hosted there each year. Ol-dran's ruler is a golden knight and golden knights and angels are the main residents of that city. If that's the case then Opatos probably has claim over that city. Karavika which is a representative for Yacatect performs there often. Lulwy has her tower in the desert however according to the dialog from the angels they're under siege by Ehekatl's cats. If Itzpalt wants to reduce everything to the elements and burn the world I don't think he cares too much for having a city dedicated to him. Nevertheless the mage guild and alters in various caves may venerate him. The Cyber Dome has plenty of Mani fans and an alter for him sits there. Kumiromi would probably like Yowyn and its citizens. Ehekatl hangs out with Kumiromi often so she'll go where Kumiromi goes.

Relying on time stop on your pets will drive you insane due to all the pauses and inturupts to you doing stuff. You'll go insane and then realize it's not as impressive as it sounds since you can't critical anything while time stopped and super fast is relative because eventually everything gets 1k to 2k speed. Found that my bell would get killed off before I could get time stop to eventually proc.

Well I have Mai as melee like you say. Other than that anything you feel will up your chances for survival or that you'll enjoy having around and working on. I guess there are two pets that I'm going to avoid because I'm lazy. They can be made good but you'll have to put in extra work. The two pets I'm avoiding is a damage caster pet and a range pet.

Reason being is because the player does both things better. The magic damage formula is better for the player than the pet. Since my character already does casting I would probably make a caster pet into a healer/buffer/debuffer pet instead leaving damage to me. Basically have the pet cast healing rain to heal the other group members and do all the buff/debuff checking so I can be free to kick ass. Managing special ammo is a whole lot easier player side than pet. So if you're lazy a range pet might not be for you if you want to get the most out of the damage they do. Really though it's up to you and no matter what you do you can't technically fail. You put in the work for your pet and any pet can shine really. Just some might need more work than others.

I would say in the long run, no. You can use tag team to give AP to a pet by going deep enough into the void where every other kill is an AP kill and just give them AP that way. You only ever need X amount of AP and once you have it there's no need to farm it anymore. The amount of hero cheese needed to unfuck a pet is way worst than the amount of time you'd spend just tag team grinding. I completely regret doing it to my murder knight and I'll never do it again.

Defender for healer. It has a unique death prevention spell.
For buffer, your choices are really meh, as most of the games buffs are self-target only. With custom AI you can give them cheer and they can cheer you. You could also see which pets have the 'same race type' buff move and play a special race character to benefit from that. And Platinum Song is a thing, too.
The problem is without outright cheating you cannot have most of the buffs that actually effect someone other than the caster on the same pet. Because they aren't moves the player can use and therefore aren't moves the player can teach.

Cyber Dome is your friend. When I start a game I cruise there 1st. Decent chance at Food Processor (34s, convert to paper = 3.4s), and Juice mixer. Juice mixer can save cursed/rotten fruit/veggies, a bane at low LVs, .1s per juice. Perfect to carry for emergency food until you can get Romias, rice ball, cyber snacks, etc. Juice trains stat slightly too. Remember, make the Juice mixer paper too! Unrelated but, even 5 mins into a new character Cyber Dome has a small chance at Laser Pistol, which has great range/damage.

On the topic of emergency juice, do you get a stat bonus multiplier for drinking them at Hungry or less? Normal food does this. How about juice?

Outside of Golem (Dim immunity, unique to them, slow speed until act 2), Fairy (equipment restricitons that are annoying to deal with on a fresh non-gene character, very high speed, frail, very high resists) and Snail (slow, killed instantly by salt, no longer have the faster AP gain upside since that one NPC just lets everyone gain AP at the same rate) it doesn't make much of a dif. The rest are really minor in what they do. I like goblin just for the easier mat gain without slower hunger gain, althoug Nefia time gives you ton anyways.

For class I prefer Warmage to anything else. They roll enough strength to not struggle with harvest time right off the bat, enough mag to be good at casting right off the bat and have a nice cast rate bonus.

Snail pianist is the most balanced way to try the snail race. You play snail for challange, and you get a race feat at 50+ I think for better AP gains. If you want to see the challange of snail without it being such a drag, Snail Pianist is the way to go. What challange? Towns become a mini-game due to Cleaner. Cleaners can also port around to zap you with salt. They mysteriously move/appear in weird places while you play snail. It's not like this for normal races... from what I've observed anyway. Massive amount of paranoia, Rod of teleport/Make Door/Wall Creation/, & clever use of game mechanics needed. Pianist lets you break in to Rod usage, among other things. You get 19 LVs of Weight Lifting, huge plat saved there. Hunting, Harvest/Party Time provides plat and Rods. Preaching in Party Time can EZpass you for god gifts, could consider Lulwy first. Obviously you need to plan accordingly if you use Party Time for Preach or music. Paperwork Harmonica baby!

Pianist lets you be any character due to starting free skills plus 1 freebie skill. Your STR/CHA as a Snail Pianist is enough to do Harvest Time if you lock in max ranks, buy the Gardening skill from Yowyn. Your other stats suck so learn how to boost potential/train stats to be a mage or what have you. Mages should eat fruit/candy dishes then use Magic Device, memorization, etc to boost stats. Buy Casting from Lumiest (outside, not the one in the mage guild), things like that. Consume Blessed potion of Restore Body/Spirit for the freebie stat boost(1 year buff, check magic shops...). Focus on stuff to make yourself into the character you want. Don't forget to grab a zombie for cooking or risk the south entrance to Port Kapul (2x) to get Gene Machine to give anyone cooking... Gotta have Breakfast!

To really get going try this. Use starting money at Derphy for a Custom AI Wizard of Elea and ride your Little Girl from Vernis. She has riding skill, and you do too as Pianist. Set Wiz to...
1.If Target < 2 Move Away
2.If Target <= 10 Nerve Arrow or Magic Dart, whatever you like though Nerve Arrow fails less BUT doesn't work on Ghost/Lesser Phantom, dart does. Adjust <=10 if it becomes too obnoxious (ex:monster ball hunting)
3.Self Buff != Boost Move Forward. This one is buggy sometimes but when it starts to work, it works. Now you can get plat without the pain.
From there think of Little Girl's EQ slots as +13 to your 3... and don't bother buying Sage Helm or wishing for 7 League Boots, till Act 2 anyway (Dr. Gavela for slots). From that point you should probably get mining from Derphy or Vernis. You need to cheat walls in towns. Getting gold bars from time to time in towns is nice, trains STR too. After that just survive the various towns/dungeons and play how you want. Also, hope you can get some sort of see invisible weapon. That's the true bane of Snail, invisible enemies. Your limited slots make that tough to counter.

I see them every couple of restocks starting at rank 100. Raising it higher hasn't seemed to make them more common.

Can i custom tailor my defender to be a tanky healer while i spam buffs from the backrow so the undead army does the heavy lifting?

Yes, that's why he said to do this. Buffing/healing others are very limited as is.
