Erika doesn't blamed everyone else for issues. In contradictory to Ange she proud of what she have been through and who she is. She acts up to "fit in" with her backstory. Represent herself as the detective that only seek for the truth. She learned to "enjoy" the abuse as self defense mechanism. Also self-aware of her role as a villain and enjoyed it. Keep in mind that Meta-Erika was influenced by Bern so that's that. Regardless of her way to deal with her owm insecurity, she's villain that how she should be written. I felt that the manga said too much in its version of EP8. Some of the clarifications that were written in were great, but some of the parts that were in the original sound novel were butchered, so to speak. The whole feeling of a sad end to a long journey is sort of lost.
The part where Erika rants to Battler about how frustrated she was at not understanding/noticing the existence of Yasu in particular is one of the parts that I am not sure whether I hate or love about the extra parts that R07 added in the manga. In the original sound novel, Battler and Erika fought against each other in a race against time to the backdrop of the song lixaxil. The hollowness of the sound novel version of this fight is something that I feel is there to compound the feeling that the story is coming to a close.
Yet in the manga, I think Erika's revelations are dissonant to the actual meaning and intention of what R07 aimed for in the original.
But it does develop one of my favourite characters, so I guess that makes it somewhat OK in the grand scheme of things.

I think manga improved Ep 8 in a lot of ways. i prefer the way it handle the relationship between Ushiromiyas since it gave some moreinteraction between Kyrie/Rudolf, Rosa/Maria, Natsuhi/Beato, Eva/Ange and Shannon/Battler. The story is a lot more impact when you know "how/whydunnit" in confession of the golden witch. The confront between Ange and Ushiromiyas in golden land was handle way better. I also don't mind Erika how Erika realised her own mistake in her confront with Battler to. It's a lot more detail and actually stay faithful to Erika character IMO

As a reader who was actively working to solve the mysteries, I don't think I like it. While clarification and explanation of the crime can be important for a mystery, somebody who paid attention and dug only a little bit would have already realized most all of this stuff in episode 7. There was even a lot of drowning related foreshadowing in episode 5, which is an episode largely representative of Beatrice's true demise. I think All of the episodes are representative of some idea, and episode 8 was one that didn't live up to. expectations for a whole lot of people. But I'm glad it ended that way. If anything, episode 8 isn't the ending, it's an extensive epilogue made to celebrate and say goodbye, not an infodump for the tragic heroine.

These are just part of why reading other stories is important, since by just reading Umineko you're only exposed to one particular foray of its themes and ideas. By reading other stories, you realize subterranean attack is possible, or that you can take this specific route, or strike with bizarre weaponry to create the most unexpected vantage point, or that you can even win by changing your win condition altogether through a change in perspective or the strategy at large, or any other ways. As you can see, your thinking is currently one dimensional and conditioned for a discipline where flexible thought is paramount (the arts).

The kanji characters themselves are seldom used in normal conversation in this way by modern Japanese standards, with the near complete usage of kanji harkening back to the early days of Japanese as it split off from Chinese but Chinese characters were still used on old legal documents. The probably intended idea of the usage of these characters is to make it seem like a courtroom definition, hence UmiProject translated it as "Repetition requested." instead.

The difference is that the first speaks to me on a personal level, while the second is strongly associated with Sayo Yasuda. It's hard to choose one over the other, because I love both.

I considered Sora no Mukou to be Higurashi's main theme, though. I'm not sure why, since it makes me think of Miyoko when I hear it and she's not exactly my favorite character in the story. I associate You with the main Higurashi cast, but I don't like the melody itself nearly as much as Sora no Mukou. It's still pretty good, though.

I agree that it feels similar to the WTC series with all the bullying,crazyness and the overall optimistic viewpoints that the ending had(even if I did never notice the Higurashi reference someone mentioned)
I really loved DtRH2 and the wild ride chapter(even if some sex scenes were so overly edgy that I felt nothing) but the second half of the VN being explanations of things that most people would easily figured out with the first few chapters made the second half very boring even if it had nice moments since I already knew what was going to happen, and also the Ayana's identity is up to your own interpretation thing was lame

I did enjoy the first half the most, because it kept me guessing and making crazy theories. Yuki is an awesome protagonist and Takuji is entertaining as fuck. I kind of guessed some of the anwers before the second half, but I was too focused on my theory about all three of them being separate manifestations of God that I failed to figure out most of them. So I didn't find it boring at all.

I also enjoyed how the last chapter took place in the Japanese countryside. The similarities with Hinamizawa made it very enjoyable.
