I had one of those moments where it hits you out of nowhere

Dawn was just beginning, the sky was clear and an incredible shade of deep blue. I then thought that Aniki wouldn't ever see another morning again, let alone one this beautiful. It just sank in as the sky got brighter and brighter.

If you google "gachimuchi" you'll get an idea.
They're videos that takes scenes from gay porn and heavily edit them. Billy Herrington is by far the most famous one because he's one of the two actors from the video that originated the trend back in Japan.
The people from the gachimuchi community in the whole world loved him because he embraced it happily instead of getting ofended or something else, and was just an amazing person overall. He genuinely liked it because people laughed at the videos and it made them happy.
There's a legendary image somewhere with him, Hiro and Zun drinking beer together in a convention, sadly i don't have it here with me.

On a note unrelated to the question: I'm already on terms with it.
He wouldn't want us to mourn his death but instead celebrate his life, it's a shame i never got to meet or talk to him, but i'm glad i got to know him and gachi videos, i loved the guy. I might be too lazy to do it but at least i'll try to live a little better now, for him.

The model animation for the project itself was basically complete in the week around/after New Years, but the camera angles/rendering in Maya took quite a bit of time to finish. Unexpectedly so. CompConf tried to set up a rendering farm on AWS (with some program called Deadline), but that ended up being unsuccessful.
Marlon had to pick up Maya 3D to finish the angles and other loose ends, and then the project was spliced up into VRAY exports which could be rendered from a cracked renderer by individual collab participants. Naturally, this led to various inconsistencies, which required further time to re-render and polish. Finally, all of those rendered frames had to be imported to a single contributor for composition.

Even when planning for shortfalls (which the team successfully handled and collaboratively replaced for one part), this part was both too massive to replace, too finished to just throw up the middle finger and start anew, and too involved to be hastened. It was a kind of unique fuck up which cannot be wholly blamed on any one particular party.

Inmu it's because the fanbase is full of kids, and they get pretty annoying trying to force Inmu into everything, and regarding Cookie they can get pretty creepy by looking into the personal lives and trolling the actresses. So that kind of "fans" are hated, but the ones that simply make videos or fanart are okay.

And yeah, Inmu in general is more mean spirited, you just have to look back at the origins of each, Gachimuchi is simply a goofy wrestling video that was uploaded to troll people in NND, while Inmu started as a tabloid scandal that almost ruined TDN's career.
