Best washing procedure:
Wash at 30C with high-enzyme detergent, spin, air dry to almost dry, steam iron (to pasteurize the clothing), finish drying in drier (doesn't take long).

You could also air dry for the final step if the weather is good, but it's already getting to be too much effort. Cleanliness:energy use ratio is already high enough.
