ANYWAY, I've got a program called 'Gmask' that claims to be able to remove mosaic-based censorship from images. However, I have no such images on my computer at this time, because I keep all my porn on the other partition of my hard drive. I'll see if I can't find any, and report back later with whatever results I may get.

Gmask only removes mosaics from images where gmask put in the mosaic. Basically, a mosaic on a normal image wipes out the underlying image, replacing it with oversized pixels. To replace it is beyond the scope of a machine as it takes recognition of what the subject is supposed to be.

Gmask doesn't seem to do any good unless you know beforehand what method was used for the masking, and I haven't got the practice or the patience to learn how to identify that.
