There's a bunch of parts to put in the graphic folder that you can seperately pick and color in-game if you rename them appropriately. So say for a hair if you already have 18 hairs in your folder you name one pcc_hair_19.

So I had a thought, is bubble storm the strongest magic, outside of maybe meteor? Since they had to nerf the final boss from using it in 1.74. It apparently is non-elemental damage, so it ignores all resists. I couldn't find any information on how well it scales on the wiki.

It's about a third to a fifth the scaling on the second die. With just basic resists it's not that far behind magic storm. Factoring in mobs with high magic resists like bosses and random mobs with magic resist equipment, bubble storm might well be better.

The elements do more damage but have more resists to fend off, plus they take a turn or two extra just to set up the damage multipliers, elemental scar, essential oil, etc.

So it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea to go pure water magic. I'm just not convinced its better. Plus, resists only really get high during boss battles and in the postgame. So it'd be a late bloomer.

It's automatically sent in your salary once you have enough unique figures. Keep in mind the figures only count if you have cleared a dungeon level at the NPC's level or above.

Yes, you can for example get poison resistance up to a limit (it's not very much but helps) by eating tarantulas and can breed them for this reason. Your pets can get it as well. It used to be only a chance, but recently it was changed so you always get resist from a resist-granting corpse, just less of it. However, the player can get a dream which permanently removes some of their food-gained-resistance. It's pretty common. Pets don't have this issue and keep it forever.

It's from E+ dialogue with god NPCs in the later acts. The original game was pretty sparse on this stuff and + now has multiple times the story content the original had, it's like the fanfiction has overtaken the original. We'd have to dig around or ask Noa to find out if everything is congruent with the actual lore, but I think Ano tried to deviate as little as possible. Look through game CG sets of visual novels, nukige and such on h-doujin sites like sadpanda and similar. They often have multiple standing portraits of the same characters with different expressions and a transparent/solid background that's easy to work with, making them perfect for evochat portraits. MA or any melee could just get desire for violence to do the same thing but have access to multiple hits. MA also gets its own buffs. A shooter will eventually only be able to hit once or twice once their ammo is spent. Range is good so you don't take damage but it's not the best damage dealer around. Also there's only one anon that has ever gotten in the 1000 range or further in levels so it's not like anyone really is going to see the benefits of those ether disease.

Looks pretty good, later you can also edit it further in order for it to fit on a different body, like this one. You can use hue shift and colorize to change colors, also handy are selection tools such as fuzzy select tool and select by color. The base bodies for these, which are pretty recognisable and many anons use, were made by ''Mr Jinno'' (his blog http://blog.goo.ne.jp/jinnno-cf seems to have all its entries deleted recently?). They're easy to edit and a lot of them are in the china pack.

Thanks, I mostly redrew the preexisting sprites so making it from scratch for a new model may be beyond me. Even so I appreciate the complimemt. I mostly don't use custom sprites in general since I like stuff to mesh together and not clash, though I wouldn't be opposed to a full overhaul.

I know it seems pretty tough, but you don't need to make it from scratch for the new model. You can just mash it on and then adjust (lots of cut/pasting and drawing bits to compensate for the different shape), or place it on the side as a reference and redraw as you did before except over the new sprite to fit it. You can also take other sprites that have a part you want (e.g. the sleeves of a shirt from another Jinno body), add alpha channel -> delete background -> put it on another layer over the sprite you're working on, and then delete the rest of the shirt layer on top leaving only the sleeves. Adjust a little to mesh with what's below, rinse repeat to make a whole sprite out of parts of others like patchwork. And since the parts will be on seperate layers, you can easily color or edit them without messing with the rest.

...You could bounce a quarter off of Shena's ass.

Holy well refills every couple of months, but only one charge each. Dipping potions in it will corrupt it, so don't do that. Destroying normal wells will let them respawn with new charges, so if you're too stingy to dump potions in, just destroy them with some fire and they'll be back.

What about Yacatect? She's just a Goddess after economic progress, you know EXACTLY what she wants. No secrets, no hidden agendas, the girl wants her followers to be rich. She doesn't even ask for money as offerings, just some trinkets you find by the roadside. She doesn't even want you to actually fight, just participate in a healthy economic system and benefit from it as much as possible. She doesn't expect her followers to fight, just have good high income and even gives multiple facets of plat income just so her followers can improve their skills.

I suspect there's some funky integer multiplication going on in that formula, the 5 * (stamina cost/10) likely evaluates to a flat 5, 10, 15, or 20 depending on stamina cost. Else, there'd be no reason not to simplify it to stamina cost/2.

Something I dont get about the cutscenes is that they dont seem to happen in tandem with your actions. Whom Dwell in Vanity is still in Vernis after getting all the rocks, but at the same time, the king is also dead and the knife ears are in hiding. Is it like some parts are flashbacks while others are current events? How does my character know all this? He's not there when shit happens. I had both diseases violence and the one for eyes that I think you're talking about but melee still does more damage than range. All those elemental damage from all the multi hits with me slashing stuff just out damages any bonus damage to one or two hits from a bow or gun but an extreme margin when I run out of ammo.

I should tell you something more useful. Isca doesn't do anything special at all, but she starts at a high level and can be gotten relatively early so could be useful to new players. Her INI is high, which is a detriment later. If you want heals you can get a nurse or young lady or teach someone tactical heal at Leold (500AP). If you don't want to use custom AI, acquired special actions are rolled for when the pet doesn't move (so lower movement chance at Leold)

For the most immediate utility I'd get a defender (emergency life saving), an exile (multicast) or fox brother (bunch of spells / gets megid flame). A nymph (evolved ghost w/ magic heart) or frognrolla (flying frog+another heart) might be useful for platinum song, which buffs the entire party. You have three melee pets, a mage and an archer so more ranged might be nice. I highly recommend using the tag system. About 8 combat pets (4 tags) is the limit for me, leaving 7 slots for ranches/shop/little sisters.

Not as hard as you might think. Over the course of the game you get many upgrades and can just give everybody hand-me downs, and later you start mass-crafting/refreshing black market specifically for what they need. They often protect each other so even weak undergeared pets' survivability goes up. Ranged pets can spend all their time attacking while at the same time moving, because the partner on the left decides movement for both. You essentially will have an easier to manage party that protects each other, trains each other, shares AP+gold and fights more efficiently. Balancing out the party by tagging strong pets with weaker ones helps keep everyone's growth closer together. It's the best. Sprites may overlap kind of weirdly (for example covering a face when the other pet has wings), I edit them a little bit to remedy that.

Is there any downside to not paying taxes other than the Karma hit? Can you raise your karma back up if you dont pay your taxes? It seems like something you could probably get away with if you can keep your karma high through other tasks

If you're planning on going on a months long dungeon dive you could probably get your karma up by burying bodies. But going from -60 to -29 doing quests in Derphy is probably going to be lame as hell. If your taxes are too high you should invest in shops instead since they're linked to how much money you have.

I think you'll get a -60 karma hit per month with 5 or more unpaid bills, plus a hit to fame.

That means at least 30 quests in town until you're not a criminal, and in the meantime you'll have to evade guards and stuff.

Taxes are higher with lower karma, which means that they'll snowball somewhat more quickly if you eventually decide to pay.

And losing fame means less platinum pieces with quests. Which means less skill growth, unless you use the yacatect gem stone - which is limited to once per month - during which your taxes pile up even more.

Doesn't seem worth it at all. It would make for a rather interesting game though (snail tourist who isn't allowed to pay taxes, anyone?). That is, until you get sick of having guards descend upon you in every town.
