Couple of years ago, a girl who worked in an advertisement agency died of exhaustion and overwork. One of my closest friend, an art director who worked at that same agency almost follow suit. So what, are they "not tough enough" because no one else having that problem? Do I tell them to hit the freaking gym? Monsters. Take a long deep look into the mirror.

They had performed on those same stage/shows before. It's not that we forbade them from performing at ANY stage whenever there's a health concern for the members...god some people are just heartless or stupid. Or both.

I'm not going to get all up in arms about management failing Suzumoto or any of the others because there's not enough information. It's entirely possible it was a freak occurrence that no one could possibly see coming.

But Techis situation is beyond a failure by everyone involved. The poor girl should have gone on hiatus like 6 months ago, not made center again during their busiest season. She couldn't even speak for a month or so and everyone just shrugged it off as no big deal. She hasn't been right for so long it's hard to remember what she's like when she is.

It's a shame that it has had to come to this to make everyone see it but at least it should get her what she needs finally. At least I hope it does.

Sad to hear the white team (boys) win (Johnny's and Keisuke Kuwata bias???), denying the red team (girls, including Keyakizaka46, Nogizaka46 and AKB48) a three-peat, but this news of Keyakizaka46 members going unconscious at the end of their Kouhaku performance is really devastating. I've recently been asking myself about the health concerns for Keyakizaka46, especially Yurina Hirate, especially with such another "Fukyouwaon" performance that is very intensive.

And hearing members getting unconscious - on a MAJOR music TV special and on national television - is the last thing we'd like to hear, whether we're supporters of Keyakizaka46, haters of it or simply the general audience of the Kouhaku.

This is very sad and really overshadows the joy the Kouhaku should bring for the end of the year.

Clearly, this is not a good way to end 2017 and start 2018. And I have to ask myself:

can't believe some of you guys are really pinning this down to the members needing to work on their stamina, and comparing it to 48 groups back in the day. I hate to be rude here but, are you thick? Keyaki have already proved that they can perform multiple intensive songs back to back, day by day, which we clearly saw them do this summer, performing multiple different sets everyday except one in august. You can have the stamina of Mo Farah but if you're overworked to the bone, no matter how much stamina you have, you will eventually become exhausted. If you're already stressed, anxious or not mentally well (whether they were or not), hyperventilation and fatigue is very likely. To even question their stamina at a time like this only shows me that people are still being ignorant to the problem that has been staring at us in the eye for a long time now. How Suzumoto or Techi got like that doesn't matter, so questioning their stamina shouldn't even be a discussion. We need to be asking ourselves and those in charge why nothing was done to prevent them from performing.

From what I'm gathering, both performances were live and performed after each other. If a couple members looked exhausted and unfit to perform, they should have never had been aloud to step on that stage, regardless of if they're the best dancer or center of the group. While the girls can express their desire for their comrade to not go on and for them to take their place, they don't have a final say, it's down to K46's management as well as the directors of the show. Honestly speaking, Mon is no where near the center where the camera's film the most so she could have sat out if she wasn't feeling okay. Techi is a lot harder to cover, but she looked unfit to perform before they even got up to start dancing! Neru or Sugai could have taken her place and I genuinely believe viewers would have been fine with it because, it's not like that was their only performance on the show, they literally performed Fukyouwaon twice, and it was such a short performance that only those familiar with the group would have realized 2 members were missing. Techi/K46 lovers would be okay with her not showing up in that second performance due to health reasons, as we were with Zuumin not participating. So why did no one stop them from performing? Yes the show must go on, but with 21 people on the stage, having two people missing would not mean they have to cancel the whole performance. This could have been prevented, and while I do understand how hard it must be for those in charge, they also need to think about the bigger picture.

I'm honestly just disappointed and very frustrated, but most of all, sad. I love Keyaki's cool, fierce and intense performances, but not at the expense of the members health. Sony/46 management seems to be very understanding when it comes to members being off for health reasons, so I hope this experience reminds them to give the girls breaks and make sure they're okay. I would 100% prefer less songs/singles, performances and activities if it means we will receive more quality things with healthy members in high spirits. Maximize your success but be careful to not lose sight of what's most important. I wish nothing but success and happy memories for the group in 2018.

I think everyone pretty much knows by now it's mngmnt's fault, yet we tend to overanalyze every single aspect hoping to change something. Personally, I'm more concerned about the guys who blame the members, or those who make questions just to troll fans, but whatever... it says more about them than us.

I also think that applauding keyaki first performance only to see two of them collapse few seconds later has been stressfull for everyone of us and whoever is on social today is watching it on a loop, even from people who, up until yesterday didn't even know who Keyaki are. It's disheartening alright.

For me thought, the worst thing is that I question the adults around every single 48 / Sakamichi group since day one (which, granted, for me wasn't that long ago) yet, today, the only thing those adults did was to post the losest picture to show us everything is alright... and probably take japanese fans off their backs. Like someone already asked, there's a way for fans to make them change? Because, having to accept that "this is Japan and things are like that, and wota are more interested in bikini shots than the girls themselves etc" well.. that IS quite frustrating.

We can endlessly question whether something is real or not, manufactured image or otherwise...however, I could only base my thoughts on stuff that I've actually seen. And this I can say for certain: I do miss Techi on the Keyaki TV shows.

Sure, I miss the more cheerful, "earlier version" of Techi (and that version may never return) but just in general...she never seems to be there these days. Distant. Unreachable. There's already enough debates/speculations/theories about this, so I won't go into that.
