Nah. Kizuna is blunt. Yua feels very fake. Her whole "little brother" thing is particularly grating. We know it's some staff member. She knows we know it's a staff member. But she still plays that thing with a straight face.

On the other hand, let's take Kizuna's A.I. thing. We know it's bullshit. She knows we know it's bullshit. But she plays around with it for shits and giggles, even if she constantly stays in character (except for some slips, like mentioning her teacher telling her eating rats makes you sick when she was younger in her latest Little Nightmares video).

Don't these Yuuchuubas have any marketable skill in anything? Every singe one of them sucks at games, no one is particularly charismatic beyond the "oh what a cute girl". At least Ai-chan has some modicum of showmanship, but most of her scripts are bland as fuck.

I like Ai and think she's great for high-tension, faster-paced humour and she captures what popular youtubers seem to do well so it's not particularly surprising that she's relatively successful. Her best videos (for me) are the quizzes (or videos where she showcases how much or little she knows, which let her play on the "super intelligent AI" gags) or the comment/question responses (which let her display her sardonic wit).

I really like Shiro and think she has a relatable personality and style of humour (at least for me). Her first videos felt a bit like she was trying to figure out what she wanted to do (and, admittedly, were pretty boring for the most part) but her more recent videos (the last three weeks or so) have felt a lot more natural and her sense of humour and personality shines through better (especially breaks of character like that teddy video). Whereas Ai is more like someone I'd watch on TV but would probably not like interacting with IRL, Shiro feels more like someone I would enjoy being around (though I don't know if that sort of thing is great for the growth of her channel). While still a bit hit-or-miss sometimes, I really enjoy watching her videos now.

I don't like Yua at all. She seems to attempt high(ish)-tension humour like Ai but can't get it right (at least for me - it feels like she is trying too hard to be funny with gags that aren't funny). But unlike Ai, she seems to be trying to put on a more down-to-earth, relatable personality and can't seem to get that right, either. The content of her videos is incredibly boring. I thoroughly hate the fucking still-frame meme caption shit in her videos. I actually find her voice somehow more annoying than Shiro's standard cutesy one. Maybe she'll get better at some point. I don't have high hopes.

Wasn't Kizuna Ai the first official "virtual youtuber"? So I guess the most separate from Kizuna, the least "virtual youtuber" they are. Personally, I still support the idea of her playing Momodora 4 on Easy Mode. I just took a look and the game seems to give you 11 Hit points before you die. Weather Girl is using literally the cheapest setup: a webcam and MMD. It's not even actual MoCap, you can see in the video that the model wasn't following the girl's movements. Pic related.
The problem with this setup is that you're using an actual camera recording so if MMD crashes or you switch the input source, you get what happened to Weather Girl.

Ai-chan is using a real MoCap setup and those don't need a full camera to be used, they only need a sensor. The cheapest setup is a kinect and MMD, assuming Ai-chan is using this, the worst that can happen is that we will see her green silhouette on stream.
