pretty sure most fumos have bootlegs by now, although more common for the older ones (reimu, marisa, EoSD crew, chen, ran, yukari...)

usually places shipping from China are bootlegs, as are fumos sold with stock pictures rather than actual photos. also, if something is underpriced (like around ~20$ for a fumo that usually sells for 40$), it's too good to be true and is probably fake. (this mostly applies to buyee and amazon though, fumos from Otaku Mode & AmiAmi are always legit).

but yeah. on an actual fumo, i've noticed my bootleg chen has very messy embroidery on the eyes, moreso than my legit fumos.

After seeing the new 1.5 Chen, I was really wanted the first release of Chen because she looks so much better.
I found a seller on eBay selling her for $65 and I also saw the same seller on MFC posting about her, and I managed to talk her into trading me Chen for figma Mami Tomoe +$20.
I think it was a great deal, and the seller sent Chen to me in some confetti which made the whole experience even better, Chen is such a cutie.
I'll still probably get 1.5 Ran because of price, but we'll see.

Which fumo is the most suitable for bed sharing? I'd say that the Komeiji's and their ribbons place them in the low tiers. I would never be able to forgive myself if I tore them apart in my sleep.
Patche looks very soft and snuggly so I'd place her in the higher tiers.

Patchy is probably the best because she basically wears pajamas anyway. Any if the simpler character designs are nice, like Mokou and Kaguya. Kasen is almost too nice to snuggle with, I love the detail on her design so much I always want it displayed.

I find myself snuggling Reisen a lot but I'm the guy who broke her ear too. Might have just been a fluke; I can't stop hugging that bun! I imagine Tewi is similar but sadly I don't have her.

Honestly one of the reasons I'm set on collecting fumos now is because of the Komeijis. Gift bailed me out by releasing/rereleasing my favorites right when I started getting them (UFO Marisa -> Mokou and Reisen rerelease) and then gave me a second chance at Koishi. I thought her fumo looked really cute so I got her. I was going to pass on Satori but knew I'd regret it amd Koishi would be lonely so I grabbed her and was very pleasantly surprised. Her dress is beautiful and I love her fumo. That made me decide to grab all of them when they come out, even characters I'm not wild about like Flan and Hatate. I won't regret again!

Gift's next batch is going to break me though. Finally a Yakumo family of my own, a Remi for my Flan, a Kokoro, a Sakuya that I missed even though I prefer the green ribbons, and a Reimu to pick up.

Eirin, Kanako, and Keine never. Feels really sad. I'll have to get a suku for my Mokou.

I mean besides that she's in incredibly good condition, most just have little accessories that aren't put together well.
