How do I into 2hu lore/characters/plot/etc.?
I've played like 2 of the games but they're incredibly short and each character has only like 3 lines

There's no plot dude. It's just a regular week in Gensokyo, i.e some asshole does something (usually without realizing what they are doing) and you stop them.

2hu has a shit story man, if going on the wiki let's you know more about the world than consuming the 2hu media, something is really wrong.

Play 1-16 (including fighting games) on at least normal. Took me 2 months. Then either read the printworks alongside the releases or after the games. Read the Music CDs whenever but preferably after 8. Remember that if you don't put in the time commitment into the games then you'll never beat them. I'm disgustingly terrible at danmaku but playing a few hours a day I was able to clear a game in under a week. If you get stuck remember to hold shift, bomb, and if you're really struggling then watch videos of people better than you and try to copy what they do. Oh and remember to read the prologue to each game they're on the wiki. Don't read the wiki for anything other than the translated official works. Don't 1cc if you don't want to it'll take a lot longer to clear the series. Skip 9.5, 12.5, and 14.3
