I know that when it comes to any hobby or sub culture that people are passionate about, there's a chance you might get obsessed about it - and it goes without saying that this is especially true in the otaku culture. But I've been thinking recently if I'm just WAY TOO obsessed.

Ok let me tell about my obsession quickly. Like most of you here I like anime(you do too right? lol) and I have one character that much more than others and she's my favourite. Basically my waifu. I have most of her character merch and I like her a lot and stuff. And this is kind of obvious as well but that makes me like her voice actor as well. I think she's really cute and I like her voice. I follow her blog and also often check other shows where she's voicing a character.

However... she's a voice actor who voices a lot for eroge and hentai anime, in fact most of her roles have to do with either h-anime or eroge. Now that's fine and all, personally I don't have a problem with watching porn, but I feel really weird and - to be honest - plain filthy when I watch hentai titles JUST BECAUSE she's voicing a character in it! I

I get it that someone wants to follow an idol or a seiyuu and watch the animes where they're featured but to do this in order to get hard makes me feel like a next lvl pervert.

What do you guys think?

I don't see a major problem. I have similar obsessions which just end up being a phase which eventually wears out with time. However, if you were to try to persue this particular seiyuu by trying to message her or give her gifts and some shit, that would be really fucked up stalker territory.

I honestly don't think there's anything wrong or even obsessive about this. Watching porn isn't more of a big deal than watching anything else really.

Not everything you do because of obsession is bad for you. You can be very obsessed about something and just don't ruin your life because of it and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it as long as it makes you happy.
There is no such a thing as being too obsessed, only acting recklessly and lack of imagination can actually be bad for you.
