It's more about tricking yourself. There are guided meditation recordings where a person will describe the transformation or what it's like to be the person you're looking to become. You have to lay down in the dark while listening and listen to it multiple times.
I'm not sure how that would come into play in Gensyoko, but that's the method I've encountered online.

But, since I have been standing around being paid to do nothing for 9 hours, I have had plenty of time to think. So here's thoughts.

As /tg/ homeboarder, putting far too much thought into autistic rambling is par for the course.

So, as previusly noted by me, the existence of magic means it would be far easier to brainwash somebody into becoming reimu.

To do this, I propose that there are 4 different parts that would need to be changed.
The mind
The body
The soul
and the I.
These must all be changed to make someone into reimu, and can be done in any order.

Mind is simple- this is how the person thinks. Changing this is one of the ones that can be done easily at any point in process, but does not have that much effect on the rest of the process once changed.
The body- making persons body to reimu. This is also one that's easiest to do near start, and, once changed, makes it easier to change the I and the Mind.

The soul- this boils down to memory rewriting- should be done after body changing as otherwise memory mismatch can fuck up the process. Makes it easier to change the I.

The I- this is essentially a declaration by the person that they are reimu. Its the hardest to do as changing this is the sign of someone passing the point of no return and they cant not be reimu anymore. So it's usually done last. But, if you can change this first, then everything else is really easy, as they dont fight anymore- they are reimu, why would they resist something changing bits of them from not-reimu to reimu.

Well, the first thing you'd want to do is set up a narrative for the file- is it going to be blank talking or will there be gensokyan context given? As this will determine both the script as a whole and the actual voice used. I'd personally go for a yukari gapping someone in to make into the new reimu, which would mean you'd need female voice for the script, probably a bit more mature sounding, and it would also affect the rest of the script in word choice and mannerisms of speaking, as opposed to just recording with text to speech or manvoice like most of these things are.

Following that, you'd need to sort out induction style, followed by the actual reimufication. Both of these would need to match any gensokyo context being used, and you'd also need to sort out just how much effect you want it to have- do you want it to be a fire and forget one, or would you try and make it something that with repeated listening might be able to have slightly longer term effects. As both of those matter a lot to how you make the file.

You'd also need to determine what you'd say makes up reimu in terms of character and thoughts, which can be difficult with broad levels of impersonation present in touhou.

Also even after all those writing issues, you'll need a bit of technical expertise on the audio side of things- any effects, clearing up the voice tracks, getting the balance right, etc.

So it would probably be a fairly heavy duty project to do properly.

Sadly I am not a cute girl or a cute touhou, so I'm not able to do any VA stuff myself. I've also got no experience with audio software myself so I'm not sure I could help with the assembly stage of it either. You can usually find a hypnosis thread up on /d/, although it is quite a slow board so it might take a while to get through but it's also worth a try. I guess there's a couple other fetish threads that could work re transformation style stuff, as its sorta like that- might be a long shot but its worth a shot.

I know tg used to have the weekend smut thread which would also be a good choice for finding people, but I think mods moved it somewhere and i'm not sure where/ if tg has made an unofficial replacement, although I've heard things about pathfinder general so could always look there.

As for the rest of your question, I have to admit that I've not got as much experience with files side of things so not too much help there, but I'd say that if you got good files that worked for you and you did repeated listening, you might be able to get yourself a bit more upbeat. It's just a matter of finding the right files.

As for finding stuff, while I can't be too much help here, I know there's a couple of mega packs of stuff on some of the major torrent sites, although they robably dont have many seedersso might be hard finding stuff. /d/ might be your better option for finding stuff in th vein of lewd files and such. I have heard warpmymind and esuccubus as places with files at hand, but I'm not sure as to what kind of files they are. For lightweight themed fapfodder, hypnohub is decent place for images, and mcstories has a decent load of written stuff if you're wanting something a bit shallower at any point in time.

Last bit of advice is that for any files you plan on going under to, you might want to give them a little listen to first without going with the flow to make sure there's nothing nasty in them, as there's always a couple of ones that might have nasty shit in them or just be done by low effort hypnotists and so have standard worship shit in them etc. Hope it helps you anon

Latest version of the script. I'm a little iffy on the fog imagery at that bit in the deepening section, so any feedback there would be appreciated.

Plan is to use fog to lead into pure white blankness ala canvas before painting, then into mirror, mirror shows reimu, use that as the lead in for the actual tf stuff.

Also I think it's kinda fitting that my muse for this has been striking me a lot late in the evenings, when I'm feeling so very sleepy myself, just drifting off as my hands seem to move on their own, drifting away...

I feel a better idea than outright transformation, if we wanted to aim at it from a more useful perspective, would be to create a sort of "guided tour". In that script concept, you become Reimu (in your mind) and are guided through a set of stories (it is important that they are not raw descriptions, but stories which show reactions and/or thoughts in relation to events) meant to make certain personality traits, behaviours, opinions, reactions, likes, dislikes, etc. (for a cross-gender transformation, you also want to include traits which seem normal for the character's gender but are uncommon in the other person's gender) feel as if they were completely natural, justified and associated with the hypnotized person's mind by means of emotional and (via hypnosis) mental identification with the model persona. I would also recommend adjusting subtle details such as the tone of voice, the speed of talking and the language complexity in order to make it easy to listen to and easy to imagine. Hopefully, this should lead to a result where not only do they get to feel more like Reimu in the "imaginary Gensokyo", they slowly start to act like Reimu - reacting to things in ways she would normally react, etc. - as well, in subtle, yet hopefully far more "natural-feeling" ways than a complete outright transformation would. Eventually, they adopt the character's set of values and worldview, effectively "taking" said character's persona as their own.

Substitute Reimu with a different character if you want to.

I've noticed that this seems to happen to people naturally, as a side effect of being in the target character's faux-mindset for so long they seem to habitually adopt their patterns of thinking into their own. Might be interesting to follow through with it.

Here's tonight's update for everyone. While the proof of the script is in the trance it induces and I can't really test that like this, this should be the induction and deepening all finished up, so that you'll all be nice blank slates ready to end up as reimus. Next part should be the bit where you find yourself by the pond in the shrine, reimu reflection and you feel everything flooding into you.

Also, holy shit this thing is 1500 words at the very least and shows no sign of stopping. I'm not sure what I've created but I think I like it.

Also, I've found that a surprisingly good way of getting inspiration for this is to start repeating the phrase "I am reimu" to myself while lying half asleep in bed, let my mind wander and see where it goes.

I'll be out most of the rest of the day so here's a little update for everyone here. Had a little trouble thinking of how to avoid the world forming maybe snapping people out of the trance they'd hopefully be in at this point in the file, so I'm hoping the idea of tying the worlds formation to the mindless state we'd all be in will keep us nicely hypnotised, blank and empty.

Now all I need to do for the next bit is properly define the reimu we'll end up becoming, as after all, who else would we be seeing as our reflection when we gaze into the lake.

I might rework the world forming bit slightly so it sounds a bit less like narration and a bit more spoken though, as it's supposed to still be yukari talking to us here.


Also, I must say that I've been feeling a little bit out of it all day today- maybe I didn't get the best sleep or something, as I've been finding it just a little bit hard to focus today, my thoughts just drifting around in circles before spiralling into spaced-out blankness. It's been quite nice, like my own little trance. So hopefully when the scripts done it'll be able to send everyone else into that nice state.

I do think that canon reimu is best to go for, it's just how to best describe her personality so I can do the change properly.

Going from the games and mangas, current idea I'm working with is along the lines of
"Might not be as knowledgeable about things as she could or should be, also a bit lazy at points. But at the same time, when something some shit is going down she will get right on it and do things properly there. Might grumble about youkai showing up around shrine / marisa freeloading at times and would prefer a few more human visitors, but doesn't really mind the youkai being around that much, even if you probably couldnt get her to admit it. And despite lack of knowledge about things shrine related, she does care for the shrine and the job in her own way- see all the stuff she does trying to get cash to keep herself and shrine afloat."

So the rough summary being "someone who definitely has a few flaws, but her heart is very much in the right place and that when the chips are down and the stuff that really matters is happening, there's noone better to have on your side."

Yeah, canon reimu is best option. As for age... while I don't think we've ever been given an official age for reimu unless I've missed something, if I had to guess I'd put her somewhere in the late teens maybe? Mainly as fair bit of drinking and such, so she's over the drinking age, and she's mature / responsible enough to do a lot of organisation stuff relating to the shrine and affairs there, and she's trusted enough as the Hakurei miko, which in both cases makes me think she's in the older bit of the teens. I would say 20 as the max as I'd say she's younger than yuyuko (well yes) in body age, and we know yuyuko wasnt that onld when she killed herself so I'd put her as being low-mid 20s maybe. Seem about right? Or am I blind and theres official ages for them I've missed?

Here's todays bump/ update. It's been quite interesting trying to write this latest part as I' a bit less experienced with the tf side as opposed to just the hypno side.

I've been thinking that the way to go about it is to try tying a sense of familiarity to reimu, and then slowly working from there to pull you and her closer together until you're one, but I'm still figuring out the best ways of doing so.

nice, its hard to write tf's correctly. i am eager to see this when you are done anon. one thing, could be like the being surrounded by shrine spirits, and your appearance shifting as the time goes on, as magic begins to change you, making references to reimu standing in front of you, getting closer vision fading in and out, and reimu ending up right in front of you, and on the final fade, reimu has disappeared, and you are in the pool. then you look around and realize your hands are feminine, and your clothes have changed... you look down, seeing reimu's face in the water on your reflection, you see her... Thats just a idea, you could take the good parts, and leave the bad parts.

Hmm. Well, having Yukari be there in a more physical sense than just being the one talking to you throughout would work, I'd just need to sort out the transition here as having one bit of narration when the rest of it has all been voiced by Yukari might not fit, but the alternative would be her narrating her arrival. Maybe if I was to make it as a more conversational "Oh, you just noticed me? I've been here from the start." style.

As for the reflection, I'm thinking it's going to be a slow reflection from her reflection to reimus reflection to your reflection as you get drawn into being reimu more and more.

It's definitely an interesting challenge writing this scenario as a script rather than simple fiction style, as it being a script does impose a few little technical limitations as you can't have a narrator, everything has to be done by one of the characters.

Another day, another little bit of progress to keep thing ticking over here.

I think the biggest worry I might have with the script right now is that people might snap out of it in the tf stage but if I keep things nice and soft in that bit they should hopefully keep under from induction, with maybe a few little motes to blankness etc to keep them topped up.

Although that would only be an issue if this thing gets voiced after its done which would be a whole new set of problems to deal with, specially as cant do it myself.

Here'es the latest little bit of progress, stopping here for the night to let me sleep on a bit that's giving me a little bit of trouble.

I'm at the point where I'm trying to fill ourr hopefully empty heads with little bits and pieces of reimus habits and memories, and I think I'm doing that decently, I just need to figure out how to link it being familiar to reimus name being familiar -> both of them feeling like they belong to you -> reflection in water seems even more familiar to you, blinking when you blink -> start to think like reimu -> get reimus body -> you are reimu -> slowly work towards conclusion.

I'm just trying to think of the right way to make this next link in the chain binding you to Reimu.

More slow and steady progress- at the body tf bit, hit a bit of a block but I think I have an idea of how I'm going to rewrite it to make it better, which I will do as soon as I am not half asleep. But I'm slowly making progress and I think that as soon as I get this bit sorted out, it'll be nice and easy writing to the end.

Don't take my word for it as I'm no professional, nor did I read everything.
But as far as I am concerned, this is way too basic.
Like, hypnosis 101 tier with no fancy left/right or echo or anything, just a countdown.

Also too wordy, like words words words, as in too dense and complicated. As a story it's nice, but I'd be too worried to not be focused enough and miss something to be trancing. Not to mention there's visualisation to do midway too.

So as a results of those two points I mentioned, I don't see the trance being a very deep one.
Don't take it personally, but I fucking hate hypnosis that's 1) induction 2) instruction. I don't consider that hypnosis.
I think that hypnosis should try to maintain that trance throughout the whole session.

Then again I'm a fucking nobody who never fully finished any scenario so take it with a grain of salt but there's my two cents.
You should focus on finishing that first draw anyway, it's easier to sort out all of it once it's done; you can do that segments by segments if you want to.

I've been a little worried about the effectiveness as well, just because this is my first time writing this style of thing so I'm not exactly the most experienced person out there. Still, thanks for the criticism. Creent plan is to finish up first draft, get it formatted properly with more details on voice and such, and then maybe put in some reasoning in at various parts to try and make edits better.

I know of a girl that does hypno comissions for giftcards, she's still new to making files but so far her stuff looks really promising. If the final script ends up as good as the drafts then I doubt it'll take long before one of us gets her to voice it.

I honestly like hypnosis. I listened to the Applejack hypnosis when it was recorded. I loved warpmymind back when I was in high school. Most recently I've been listening to the hot slime file.

I can't say I won't give the recording a try if it is recorded. Only that you shouldn't forget yourself if you use it.
