From a variety standpoint they're way more interesting and make me laugh at least once or twice per episode. Hakata's are cute but a lot of the time they don't do very entertaining stuff during the location shoots. They just had that shot in the last episode where everyone was silently preparing the fish, and scenes like that are in every other episode. And it's not like Goto doesn't complain about it.There's a few members that try, like Jiina or Vivian, but a lot of the time the Hakata VTRs just aren't that good.

General Tso's chicken is pretty different.
The pieces tend to be much smaller, and flavour is almost entirely sauce-reliant (as opposed to the juiciness of karaage chicken). Additionally, Karaage can be enjoyed by oneself as a snack, whereas General Tso's chicken is almost always communal.

There are Korean dishes very similar to General Tso's, such as Dakgangjeong. These aren't considered part of fried chicken there though. Traditional Korean fried chicken is often distinguished from General-tso like chicken by being designated 치킨/chicken rather than 닭/Dak, the native Korean word for chicken. But going by this. it would seem the idea of small bits of fried chicken drowned in sauce being more of a continental communal dish idea, and quite far from that of Karaage.
