If you like Touhou you probably have a favourite character you'll want to dress up without caring about how popular or unpopular the cosplay is.
If you're doing because "why not, I don't even follow Touhou though" or who knows what other reasons, please get out.

Sorry, no actual girls cosplay Touhou in the West, only males do and only ironically.

Seriously now, I'd assume the most common ones are the main characters and secondary bait (Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, Flandre, Cirno, Chen, etc...) and the least common ones the character from the most recent games (from 13 onwards), the PC-98 games and the supplementary materials

Manly Touhous are best for ugly men such as awoo, mokou, reimu and yuugi if you have any muscle.
Odds are you'll look bad if you don't choose to go as a meme with a bit of muscle and facial hair, being a pretty boy is hard work and few actually pull it off, fair warning.

Everyone on the internet is a man until proven otherwise, you've all played into this sissy's game. I forgot to mention Marisa is also a good 2hu for ugly men to cosplay, if you have a few months before the con and aren't a lard ass you can build a bit of muscle and grow some scruff. It's better than nothing.
